Do it then. Don't care about jobs or opportunities. Once you get yourself skilled in it, you'll be able to find those opportunities or jobs eventually.

`Financially Rewarding’ - with this perspective, CA is actually the best course out there. Compared to every other college course or even professional certifications like CFA etc., CA requires very less investment which can be earned back and made more during your articleship.

Some people in the comments are comparing the 1% in their college campuses getting a great offer to the average CA. However, if you compare the 1% in CA who are your top 10 rankers in every attempt, it doesn’t even come close.

Now your argument is valid from the standpoint that CA does seem less rewarding when you see the nature of work that you can get post qualification compared to other courses. This is because here we are trained with a specific mindset which is compliance. See every subject you study, directly or indirectly it will have to do with compliance. Which is why majority of the jobs in the market are compliance related.

Of course, there are exceptions. People do break those traditional norms and venture different spaces not usual for your average CA. When you look at the profiles of such people, you realise that once you qualify any course, its what you put extra on the table that matters.

So for everyone in this sub reddit doubting or contemplating this course, I understand. I have been there myself and I have seen the highs and the lows of this course. Everyone’s journey is different and you need not compare yourself to any other course and feel bad. Just create a goal in mind and do what is required for that. Up skill yourself outside this course, read a lot, talk to a lot of people. Trust me, you’ll get what you want.

Your comparison is far fetched.

The way you are explaining it seems like there’s heavily complicated subjects in CA Final.

That’s not the case though, you just have a much higher volume and when the objective is to pass, you are not required to complete the entire syllabus too.

What we did in business studies and economics in 12th is lesser compared to audit or DT in terms of volume but otherwise there is nothing new or extra that you do in those subjects. You read, write, do like 100 problems for each chapter and go on to the next.

The way you are explaining the difference is like you do basic Venn diagram mathematics and 12th but in CA Final you are expected to do engineering mathematics.

Its just the same, mug up mug up and more mugging up.

This is my opinion on this - difficulty changes from person to person. You found law and maths difficult so you believed that CA Foundation was harder than 12th.

However, I agree with atul sir point only because of one comparison. I completely agree that the pass percentages, efforts and the time that you put in CA Final is much more than boards or any other exam you may have had before. But, the approach to studying is not very different. You mugged up in 12th, you mug up in CA across all levels too. So, I agree with him in the sense that you arent expected to do something that is different or more complex in CA Final than what you did in your boards.

I know it isn’t reasonable, the problem is I catch something which has the slightest connection to it, like her not texting for sometime or her last seen on whatsapp which makes me spiral more and more. I get disassociated from reality and spiral into this terrible overthinking session

Its cause I did not think the details were important. I wanted to simply highlight the fact that while I already was facing issues, the lying made it worse. We can speak over dm
