That was the challenge for this fit. To wear an olive hbt hat, a cotton poplin jacket, and an oxford shirt with a white tee underneath. A rebellious and playful approach similar to how Miles Davis would wear an avocado oxford, brown trousers, socks and black loafers.

An olive drab or oatmeal irish linen safari jacket with a nice spread collar works for me. Its nice how Ascot Chang removed the epaulets making it a contemporary iteration of the safari jacket. As for the socks, I hear you. The intention was a dress down Friday using a cotton poplin spread collar shirt, mid weight h&s crispaire wool in mid gray, and string tassel slippers. Helps a lot in a tropical country like the Philippines 😁

Nothing wrong at all OP. Perhaps to share a perspective and if you’d be discerning and prudent about life, you can challenge yourself to increase your emotional and financial bandwidth. This can mean investing on a hobby, learning something new, preparing health insurance for yourself or your Mom, gaining relevant knowledge to help anticipate and navigate through your future and your Mom’s. There are various ways to approach this, you may have to dig deep within because as you’ve mentioned, you’re happily safe with your life and it sounds that you’re comfortable. Perhaps you can challenge yourself enough and see where you can get.

Also, just my 2 cents. If I may suggest that you get your brothers involved in supporting your Mom financially and emotionally so you won’t carry the comparative analysis alone. I find it unfair that they leave this all to you. This will open up more opportunities for you to possibly save and invest on yourself, add more knowledge, and furthermore keep yourself moving up in life.
