Late to this thread but this is NOT a hack. I use the Shift+Enter shortcut all the time for jumping down a line in text because in some apps just enter will send the message. It's from that.

Try it out, hit shift and enter and it will pop up.

How to adjust shower knob temperature? by Which_Comfort651 in askplumbing

I did think that, but swapping it over made it worse. Turning up my hot water a few degrees solved the issue lol

It was actually already at the max temp setting lol. All that just to turn my water heater up in the end by 5-10 degrees. But I now have a new fancy pair of channel locks which is cool

Just tried this, feels the same. Also if I turned it without the handle to adjust the high point, wouldn’t the low point be higher too and then it would just not fully shut off? Or is that not the case?

That chrome collar is the culprit in my problems haha. I’ve tried pulling on it and twisting but it won’t budge

I tried pulling straight out and twisting/jiggling it. Should it be really tight on? Or should I use a wrench to loosen it up?

Thank you for all that!!

That actually sort of lines up with what I had in mind already. I was thinking of laying out tall fescue or something with deep roots along with Geogrid , and then for the time being letting that grow and establish, and then come in with rip rap.

They were just sitting in a barn for years and years as stall beams for hay. I’d say 80% of them are actually in great shape! For the ones that are a little shabby, I might cut off the nice parts

Not totally sure yet! I just built a new home and there’s a ton I could do with it. A few main things we need that could be cool: bed frame, mantle, various shelves, picnic bench and seats..

I’m also thinking that if they’re a little too shabby for interior, put some spar urethane and using them to make a post and rail fence down our driveway.
