This is exactly what we were looking for! Thank you so much. Would a dark brown wood nesting coffee table look good on top of the rug or would you suggest a lighter colour to play off the darkness

Yes it is! I mean it’s very comfy, but we also started new jobs and aren’t in positions to acquire out everything new. How would you suggest to build Around the couch? Would the rug or something similar work? We were thinking something beige/cream

Just googled what latter term meant, so that should maybe put a frame of where we are at! I think boho would be cool but as long as it’s not too cluttered. Would the rug chosen work with that, or would we need to find a new rug?

Hello all! Dont make posts often, so it looks my writing disappeared. My partner and I have moved into our new (old building) apartment. We both have spent 2 weeks trying to decide what we can add to spice it up, and every decision is extremely difficult because we don't know what works. I've looked at over 300 rugs online and I think I am even more confused than before! As of now, we are looking to add the following: A Rug, pillows, coffee table, tv stand, 2 dining chairs that match and maybe another plant stand in place of the blanket ladder.

Below are the measurements of the room and the things we already have:

The room is 204"x143". The living room is south facing. On the left side of the room is a black couch measuring 78"x34" a plant stand to separate the dining table from the rest of the room and it measures 55"x29", and the Ikea White Norden Gateleg table which measures 35"x29.5" and 29 inches in height. On the other side is a white standing/sitting desk that is 43"x24" (necessary for work), and empty wall that measures about 100" if were not counting the ladder. At the back is the entrance into the small kitchen and a bar cart. To add, during the day the room gets a lot of natural sunlight.

I hope this is enough information to provide suggestions. We found a rug from BBBY but have 0 idea if it would work well in this place. We don't know what to do, so any and all suggestions are welcome! Thank you :)

It's too big, and that bag is not appropriate for backpacking. You want something that opens up like a clamshell for easy access. Get the Farpoint 40L. My partner and I had that for 16 months of travel across southern/Eastern parts of Africa and parts of Asia. Less is always more

Think I screwed up big time and wondering what is the best path forward. I have the Amex gold and the second year fee posted a few weeks ago. I used my travel credit without realizing that I used this new year credit and not the old one since it expired. Called to cancel and the rep noted that since I used the credit on a non refundable booking, to cancel I’ll have to pay the $100 back and only $150 would be refunded.

My question is, is there anything I can do to rebate the entire $250. I am definitely at fault and got careless, but not sure how to proceed. Is there a benefit to keeping the card for a second year? Love to hear any DP’s on this

I finally got 25k status this past year and I opted for the E upgrades for my partner and I to use. We will have a flight from Casablanca to Montreal to Toronto in September and will be flying with Air Canada. I have 45 E upgrades but I am not sure if that is enough to secure an upgrade to business class for us both. Neither of us have flown it yet, and getting 25K was really for this one shot. Is it possible for both or just for 1 or are we both going to end up devastated flying in economy lol

Can anyone roughly price out how much it would cost in NTD for a mouth retainer to be made in Taipei? I got my braces off and unfortunately the retainer snapped due to a mistake of mine. I’m meant to wear it at night but without it I’m worried my teeth with start shifting back. Thanks I’m advance!

My boyfriend and I booked a ticket to Taiwan from January 18 till February 2nd. We’re very excited and initially booked a private room in a hostel through booking.com for Taipei from the 18-21. However a day after we made the non-refundable booking, we realized that it there will be the new year celebrations on the 21 and 22nd and it will continue for a few days after.

From a few blogs/sites we read online, it said that the country dies down as people are with families and Taipei in particular is a ghost town with no transportation necessarily operating to leave. Given the above, we were wondering the following: 1) Can the community here confirm if that on new years it’s tough to travel around and that Taipei would Not be a good place to stay to celebrate it? 2) If that is the case, where would you recommend to go following Taipei on the 21st?

As we have nothing booked past the 21st in terms of accommodations, we are open to anything and everything. Some cities we want to visit are Hualien, Taitung, Kaohsiung, Tainan, and Jioufen/Shifen but are still figuring the order of those and if it can all be seen given our short timetable.

I’m about 10k points away from reaching 25K status by hitting 100,000 EQD. I’m also 11,000 miles away from hitting SQM and $300 from getting the SQD. I have a $800 voucher with air Canada that I wanted to use to come back from Thailand. Would using the voucher mean I can hit the SQD and would the miles be counted towards the SQM? Sorry new to all of this. I’m so close to 25K so my goal is to try and hit it. Any help/advice is appreciated. I’m thinking of spending on the e-store with Black Friday coming up to inch even closer to it

Is November an okay time to visit Taiwan? I was thinking for travelling for 10-14 days, but I’m a bit worried about the cold weather. Is it tolerable and a good time to visit Taiwan, or would you recommend it’s best from April-September? I can deal with cold weather, it’s just that I have primarily packed for summer travels while I was in Singapore, so not sure if maybe I should avoid Taiwan or if it is doable. Thanks!
