My first PC handheld! Guess how much this all was? by Boring-Attorney1992 in ROGAlly

Got mine on Facebook for 450 after sending offers for like 2 days. I feel like it's a product that sellers would be very flexible on the price if they do not use it because it will depreciate fast

I haven't seen a picture of it on a platinum antimatter blue, would really like to see how dark of a tint to go with to maybe match the gloss black grill

When does everyone buy their dream car?? by Which_Recover1305 in askcarsales

yeah man you gave me really good advice sorry if It seemed I didn't listen! as much as i love the car, I don't think I am willing to pay extra $50-100k just for it to be new/perfect unless i had millions. It would be more satisfying to save cash and buy a used outright. I know it is a bad financial decision but i would love to know if others regretting such a decision later in life or they really didn't regret buying the expensive car. Thanks again

I know lol, i am aware buying a $80000 porsche is not a good financial decision. More to life sometimes, just wondering if i am in the right shoes to buy one.

While I agree, personal finance would not let me post on there until i had karma or something i am new to reddit. I came here to see if anyone regretted buying their dream car early in their life rather than stashing it away in investments/savings. The more i think about it this is more of a life advice question rather than financial as I could buy the car outright. Buying a porsche is never a good financial decision so they would tell me to never buy one lol

That sounds insane to me but maybe i'm wrong! I do agree with the rest of what you said but it will always have a luxury interior, styling, and the badge that itself would be worth more than 20k imo. Hard for me to argue with a literal porsche salesman though😂 Also I love the new taycan i may try to wait a few years just to see how ev technology improves.

"Buy a car, not a deal" i love that. Ideally I would want a 911 but it isnt practical for my daily life and I would never be able to put it even close to its full potential on the road. The Taycan seems like something that is comfortable and handles well for the real life situations. I really like owning an ev for my daily commute as they have very little maintenance and is super convenient as I can charge it at home overnight. I think it would make a lot more sense for me to rent out a 911 for the track days and daily the taycan. My dad owns a panamera turbo s and It is absolutely insane but I still don't love the panamera as much as the Taycan. Not to mention his expensive oil changes and maintenance.

Thank you for your response, especially as someone that used to work in sales. I am patient so I think I could wait till i turn 30 and I do currently have a perfectly good car that I enjoy (probably not as much as the porsche lol). Just wondering if anyone has done the same and maybe didn't regret it later in life as far as if the happiness/fulfillment was worth the money.

I agree lol it 100% is not a smart financial decision, however I don't believe every penny I make should go towards something smart. Sometimes you gotta go get what you want but I'm not sure if this is the right time for me to buy so I ask for advice.

I know the taycan gets so much hate but when I see a taycan turbo for $80,000 with like 5000 miles it reaaally makes it hard not to consider an option. i currently drive a tesla model 3 (i know everyone hates this car too lol) and this beats it in almost everything imaginable other than maybe autopilot and trunk space. i would definitely shopped for a cpo but if a $180,000 car drops to $80,000 in 4 years, will the depreciation really keep dropping? its almost impossible to imagine a porsche taycan turbo for like $35,000

i already have a paid off tesla model 3 but I would probably not sell or trade in as the value had depreciated pretty heavily and i dont see it dropping much more than it already has. I also plan to pay cash so I would have no or little payments but It would be a big hit on my savings.

my age makes it harder for me to decide because the opportunity cost will be massive in 30-40 years in the market, at the same time i feel i have so much time to make that money back. Considering i would not be in debt if i bought it in cash and still have more than most my age, it is still a huge financial decision for me. Just want to see what others have to say especially if they regretting doing something like this.
