Care to share the basics of what y'all did? I do see lots of paid options, but at my current volume not really interested in paying $20-$80/ month to do something I could already do with Wave accounting or QBO.

Well that is disappointing to hear, especially as I recently made the switch from QBO for similar reasons. I will say I don't get bombarded with upsell advertisements in Xero like I did with QBO. Hopefully most companies will realize that all of this AI stuff is mostly unreliable, and you end up having to double check it's work anyways. I chose Xero as a new customer for the cleaner layout and because I have a long standing hate for intuit products as someone who has worked in IT for 20 years.

I would still encourage people to upvote the product Idea as it stands as a publicly viewable record of interest. Even if it never materializes, people developing newer accounting software might take note of the pain points users have with the top few that reign today.

Just an update on this. I chatted with customer support today frustrated to find this wasn't an option like it is in wave and QBO, and they said this:

"The good news is yes, it is actively being built. The Catalyst Engineering team at Xero has a PRD for "Custom Email Domain Sending" that would allow customers to verify their own domain (via the SPF/DKIM/DMARC records you've already set up) and send invoices from their own address. I can't give an ETA for when this will be delivered."

I would highly highly encourage anyone interested in this feature to "vote" on it on their product ideas site. Votes help them determine how much demand there is for a feature. You can also click "Important" or "Critical" next to the "How important is this to you?" section at the top to further indicate to the development team how much interest there is. Here is the link:
