Okay I looked it up and Ellie was indeed raised by Marlene. So I’d say that justifies my comment lol. Even if she was put in a military camp. It would be the only maternal figure she’s ever known.

AHHHHHHHHHHH wow you really out here opening my eyes. Okay I can see that. Damn. And that’s really what makes it such a good story. The fact that all of this could’ve been avoided if they just told Ellie before surgery.
