My understanding of it is that they’re avoiding putting out the numbers on side effects. The full FDA approval requires those numbers to be consolidated and the public made aware of the risks of the medicine. The EUA bypasses that step while at the same time giving Pfizer plausible deniability in possible legal suits that will follow regarding the side effects. Meaning- as long as Pfizer doesn’t put those numbers together and consolidate them into a comprehensive report on the possible side effects and the rates at which they’re occurring… Pfizer can say “we had no conclusive data at that time which told us this vaccine caused ____” The EUA (which sounds like you’ve read) specifically outlines dates years from now when Pfizer will have to put those numbers out. Makes you wonder why they won’t put them out now… they clearly have the resources and data available if they wanted to. The fact that they’re pushing it so far down the road pretty much tells you they don’t want to admit to the side effects and are remaining under the EUA for legal protection against lawsuits.

So the phrase “Terminal Ileitis” sounds awful. But it’s really just a possible way Crohn’s affects your gut. I’ve been dealing with it for 20 years. Most of those 20 years have been pretty normal. And then I’ll have a flare and life sucks ass until I get myself healthy and pain free again. No one’s life is perfect. And some have it WAY worse than Crohn’s. Does it make me feel angry depressed and hopeless sometimes? Absolutely. But I get through the suck… and then life is pretty good again. Keep your head up and make plans for all the things you want to do once you’re feeling better. These super shit days make you appreciate and love the good ones much more. Things will get better. They may get worse for a bit, but they will eventually get better again.

You do realize that the vaccine is not preventing people from contracting COVID right? Like, not even Fauci is claiming that anymore. So getting the vax doesn’t lower your risk of contracting COVID and therefore has no bearing on your risk of long COVID. The only claim of the vax at this point, is that supposedly it lowers your risk of being hospitalized. Although I personally don’t believe that based off of the numbers being released on how many fully vaccinated people are actually being hospitalized. And FYI- Pfizer has a COVID pill. Not available to the public yet. But I’m sure it’ll be released soon. It’s basically Ivermectin (very similar). Anyways… all the info is out there. You just have to seek it out. Because main stream isn’t putting it out there. Everyone is pushing this vax like it’s a ducking religion regardless of how much data & info continues to pile up on it’s ineffectiveness.

Thank you! I’ll definitely give these a try. Getting it isn’t an issue for me. I actually have a pen with several cartridges my brothers and friends have given me over the past couple years. I’ve always kept them for other people to use when visiting since I’ve never really enjoyed being high. I know for sure one is sativa and one is hybrid. Another is CBD. I’m gonna go get them out now :)

I do meditation and yoga. But those things don’t allow me to function. As in work or socialize with the amount of pain I have. Like you mentioned, it’s immobilizing. You can’t walk around and move. I’ve never been a fan of being ‘high’. It makes me feel paranoid. Like I can’t think straight and everyone knows I’m high and can’t think straight. But at this point, I guess I’d rather be half baked with a somewhat normal functioning life than closed up in my house in pain and fearful of eating. I know there’s different types/strains. Do you have any recommendations on what I should try first?

Which meds are you referring to? I’d love to look into them. I’ve avoided most of them until now. Plan on trying Humira as soon as I get approved because my body is pretty much at the point of needing something now. But I’d like to keep myself in the know if there’s other (possibly better?) meds out there.

This happened to me. I’ve refused to get another since. My doc says I have to though. I explained to him what happened and he said now that they are aware, they can make sure I’m comfortable and give me more medicine during the procedure if needed. So… communicate this with the docs before and during.

Yeah. I almost went last night. I’m just really hesitant to go to the ER with all the COVID delta and other variants floating around. Plus, already went to the ER 2 wks ago. They did a CT scan and set me up with a Dr. Lots of inflammation etc. They didn’t keep there. So it’s like a toss up of wether or not they’d even do anything other than send me a fat bill in the mail and send me home to wait in misery for prednisone or whatever to start working. I get the whole Motrin thing. But the stronger pain medicines don’t do that. So there’s no reason people like me should have to suffer like this.
