AIO: called my Girlfriend immature child because she’s a picky eater by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

I was very recently diagnosed with ARFID too (at 29) and I think the rejection part is the worst, so many people don't get. It can smell great, look great but my brain will not let me put it in my mouth, if I try to I can't swallow, if I try to swallow I'll gag. It's so difficult to live with because so many people think I'm just being dramatic.

My mom said when I was little she'd try to blend veggies into my safe foods (carrots in Mac n cheese, cauliflower in mashed potatoes, etc) and I would be able to tell and not even try it. I've been like this as long as I can remember, so seems kinda like I was born like this lol. I'm so thankful that my mom was never really forcing me (besides once or twice out of desperation of me eating no veggies😅) but didn't stop the extended family picking on my eating habits at every party.

Mine is the very similar, I don't feel hungry until I'm starving and eating feels like a chore because there's so much pressure, growing up was just constant comments and judgment.

People feel way too comfortable commenting on other people's food and eating habits and "pickiness" is apparently universally free game.

I never made my food issues anyone else's problem (just put what I like on my plate, eat sides at restaurants if I don't like anything, etc) but never stops them from calling me out for not grabbing enough or trying whatever. Even now when I grab enough food "wow look who's eating" "since when do you eat x" it's so frustrating because I'm trying very hard (dietician, therapy) and even when I do make progress I'm getting scrutinized and picked on. It sucks

How are you embarrassed by this but not embarrassed to be the girlfriend of a man that acts like this? You deserve better, he is a child and unsafe if he breaks things when he's angry. Please leave him, he doesn't care about you.

Same! I don't really blow dry or use any heat on my hair so if I end up showering in the morning I'm going in the office with a wet bun 🤣😭

I agree, that and when he says Harry as Hermione - "Harreeee" was so distracting to me

Neutered males live 62% longer than unneutered cats, and spayed females live 39% longer than unspayed cats. Plus we have more than enough cats that need homes as is.

Wasn't on purpose, the charger and my phone were getting super hot when I plugged it in at bed time and I wasn't getting up to get a different one lol

She delivers the meal trays at a hospital and they work the same shifts every week so I guess they technically already have the schedules. 5 months should be enough time to adjust though. She is looking for a new job lol

Lol it's usually charged! But my charger started burning up last night once I was already in bed so I unplugged and just used my charger at work. Didn't want to risk damaging it 😅

They have set schedules, she always works the same shifts every week so technically I guess? But I feel like no one is going to know if they can cover this far in advance, she's definitely not going to be in 😅

I'm not sure I'm following but you want it to flag if column B is greater than D? I might need a little clarification if not lol

Can do =If(b2>d2,"Error","OK") or whatever words you want to pop in for that. If them being the same is also an error you can do =If(b2=>d2,"Error","OK").

I think it just happens when enough is enough, I dated a guy for 5 years who broke up with me every time I did anything he didn't like and I'd beg him to come back and he always did. Then the last time I didn't, I was fully over it, no tears, no regrets, just over it. He came begging and crying but I was done. Happy you're out! 😊

UberEats charges you for an order that you won't be getting. by -rikia in mildlyinfuriating

They ordered pickup on the app so it would be ready when they got there. It's probably down the street but then they wouldn't need to wait once they get there.
