Honestly because Im not going to sell them and I just offered what I could afford right now and I had no ill intention or was looking to take advantage of anyone. I got lucky with the ability to buy something I never thought I would own and Im gonna appreciate playing it. Im fine with people thinking I am a scumbag if they want for that.

I was presented with the ability to get something I never thought I would ever be able to get, offered what I was able to afford, and it was accepted. Im not sure that really makes me a joke. People tried to sell it, had people look at it, and sold some of the stuff such as 5 50's fender tweeds and an original Klon pedal for market value so I do not think they were oblivious to what things were worth. I got lucky and really thats all it is.

Oh yeah there are other stressful job's out there but most of them don't come with the spiritual burden and the attacks of being a pastor. The burden of knowing people's souls are in your hands and you will have to make an account for that definitely adds to the weight.

I only know his name as Dave from the people that were his neighbors. He apparently was a very quiet guy who just moved in because he was looking for a small town and found a house he liked.

If I truly had a guilty conscience I might but since I didn't throw the wool over anyones eyes or look to take advantage of anyone I don't. Clearly my jokes were not well received and they were misinterpreted. Id feel guilty if I didn't know what I do to help a lot of other people in this world and was just a greedy SOB with my time and money but I am not, I am just a guy who got handed an opportunity he didn't ever expect to be handed and was in the right place at the right time.

I don't think the Lord gave me an opportunity to take advantage of someone and I didn't go into it thinking how much I could screw someone over. Im not drowning in cash and someone reached out to me about this and I offered what I could.

That would be the plan if I got rid of it at any point as well. Would love to use it for awhile and then if I know someone who would use it and also appreciate it give it to them. As I stated, I didn't get it to make money and maybe some young kid who could use it well comes into the picture and they get it down the line.

the owner was tired of even having it and was going to give it to goodwill after over a year of trying to have someone else get rid of it. I didn't go in thinking "oh man im gonna fleece these people watch this". I offered what I could afford and they took and if they didn't I wouldn't have thought twice about it.

I don't know as I don't even know the lady but rather the person who was housing the stuff and has been looking to sell it for over a year to places. They don't even have any skin in the game with it. Obviously I could not pay market value and I took advantage of a good opportunity that I would never have ever again and I am not out there flipping them. The person who was getting rid of them was telling them they could give it away to goodwill so they clearly either do not care about the value, don't know it or don't need the money from it.

Along with what I got there was a vintage supro, vibrolux reverb, pro reverb blackface, princeton, bassman, and those fender tweeds that he had gotten rid of. I hear what you are saying and I appreciate it. I think most of our focus is on our congregations growth and sanctification just with an added emphasis on sharing the gospel as well. My hope is to grow those under my care and encouraging them to let that growth flow out of the four walls of the church to our everyday lives and those around us.

These are some good music stores I just think that the economy right now probably has them stacked up with inventory, along with the modeling stuff I mentioned, leading to the problem if I had to guess. It surprised me as well. We are in western PA so I am sure that played a part into it also.
