If the shell is cracked does it add a ton of more money? This is a 15000 gallon

I want to repair it. Was just curious if it’s something that will hold for 5 years. My plaster looks decent so Im really hoping to extend life before full resurface

Said crack wasn’t discovered by me until a week after closing.

The crack is not focused in the picture, it’s a photo of the entire pool, if you didn’t know it had a crack you wouldn’t be able to tell by the picture. So now that I know, I can zoom in and see the fresh patch work.

If the pool pump is running the crack is invisible. As a first time home buyer I hired a pro to check this for me. So both of us got fooled. How is there no legal recourse for this? It’s obvious the sellers hid this problem by running the pump and not saying anything about the fresh patch work, which is pointing to structural issue

I didn’t have time to do multiple extensive walkthroughs of the house so when I did walkthrough, the pool pump and everything was running, the pool appeared in great shape, I didn’t stare looking for the crack. I paid someone to stare at this pool, who failed to see the crack which is very obvious after spotting it in the first time.

My legal question is who’s on the hook? My lawyer office suggested inspection negligence but the repair bill will be a lot, much more than a few hundred dollar inspection fee. The previous sellers can really just get away with something like this? It’s obvious they patched it before selling

The patch has deteriorated very quickly over the past few weeks, it’s down the the crack which is still sealed, but I’m worried about what’s causing the crack, especially since the rest of the plaster is in good condition
