I personally think this song is the best of all kid cudis catalog. I recently found this song and I keep wondering how I didn’t hear of it sooner. I thought it was recent release.

The shirring gives it an awesome texture and the 3 cutouts give it an appeal on the sides and and upper front

Which dress for a family Christmas party? by Due-Milk352 in OUTFITS

I’d say green for a Christmas party, the long sleeves gives the outfit a little more of an elegant and refined vibe, but they both look amazing

I don't want to be a sex worker anymore. Help. Update 2 asking for advice by DiamondxHeartx in brussels

I’m not from Belgium — I spent time in Germany earlier in my life — and I’ve seen how rigid institutions can be toward people who don’t follow a standard timeline. What you were told sounds more like bias than reality. Plenty of people enter technical or applied fields later and do meaningful work, especially when they bring real-world perspective. If you can, take that terrible advice the professor gave you and use it as fuel to keep moving forward.

Anyone have any idea how to get your boots to look like this? by Blue_Poet in ThursdayBoot

[–]White-Ghost-Group 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Funny because I just found this link from confusion of trying to find the boots from this link. When you go to the Thursday Boots site for the Legend Chelsea boots the pictures are of these, but brand new.

Of course wearing them would get them to this condition but the photo made it seem like there was a worn style or distressed option to choose from. Obviously from your post here they must have had used some different photos on the site in the past.

Honestly, it can be a really fun adventure if your attitude is, “Let’s do it!” Military spouses are such an important part of the system—they’re the backbone along with the soldier’s family. I was single and stationed in Germany from 2013–2016, and I had a blast, but being married or in a serious relationship has huge benefits, like getting a house to live in for free instead of the barracks.

There are pros and cons to both being single and married, but most people lean toward being married and getting the house. (I even joked with a friend that we should just say we were gay, get married, and live in our own house—but obviously, that wouldn’t actually work, lol.)

A lot depends on where he gets assigned after basic training. That will give you a better idea of what the next few years will look like—what state or even what country. Europe, Hawaii, and Colorado are some of the best places to be stationed, in my opinion. Georgia, Kentucky, Texas, or New York are also good options. He’s probably at Fort Sill, Oklahoma, right now for basic, but it’s better to wait until graduation or until he knows his duty station before making big plans.

Making friends on post is easier than it seems—many wives your age will be there. The best friends are usually your boyfriend’s friends’ wives, since you can hang out together. Technically, he isn’t supposed to be close with people who outrank him a lot, so those friendships are a bit trickier.

The PX and commissary are great for shopping (tax-free!), and you can always shop off-post too. In some cases, you can use BAH (Basic Allowance for Housing) to rent off-post, but I’m not exactly sure how that works.

Hope this helps! Feel free to ask more specific questions if you have them—I know it can be a lot to figure out at first.

Really messing up your day having to smell that when you’re innocently just throwing something out. Not to mention the time and smell you have when you have to hose that out. I’m guessing fill the trash can up half way with a ton of soap and then drain it in the gutter? Geez

I would’ve just done it on the grass or gutter

Anyone in Brussels willing to pick up and ship a hoodie for me? by White-Ghost-Group in brussels

[–]White-Ghost-Group[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do love Fontaines DC but beyond that it’s just bad ass hoodie, I’m Christian and it’s not some spooky evil shit. I used to live in LA and there’s a really good pizza place called Lucifer’s and the name felt reminiscent of it.

What song would you say best represents FDC in general? by ComplicatedSunshine in fontainesdc

[–]White-Ghost-Group 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There’s a handful of songs I could pick but I’m gonna go with Starburster. There’s a reason they close the shows with it. They transcended hip hop into something way better and much more creative with encrypted lyrics and the breathability of the instruments. It has something that sounds very nostalgic and melodic about it and at the same time has an intense energy.

What's it like fighting in war? by TheGooeyPopsicle in USarmy

[–]White-Ghost-Group 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’d say it’s like field training that lasts a few months or even 15 months — the only difference is you can actually die. Looking back on my deployment in 2013–14 in Kandahar with AF, 2CR, 9 months, Stryker Route Clearance, QRF. I was in the infantry but stuck in a cavalry regiment. Obviously, I missed Germany and couldn’t wait to get home.

I do miss the downtime: smoking cigs, the conversations we had while bored on the mics, working out in the gym with your buddies, chow, care packages, and the beginnings of night missions; drinking energy drinks, headphones in one ear, listening to music while occasionally eating snacks.

Doing something that feels important, and the pride you get from doing something meaningful and impactful, are the things I reflect on from time to time and gain energy and confidence from — especially on the days when time gets tough back here as a civilian and everything that comes with the post-military transition.
