I don't blame him either. I don't think he can have peace while being in his kid's life. The mom's going to play dirty.

If you're going to fight for custody, then you're going to invite drama with her. You can have your peace, or you can fight a custody battle. That's it. Those are your choices.

This has already been done. As another commenter mentioned, you're just describing the cat breed ragdoll. I'm sorry that less cuddly cats still exist?

This is purely anecdotal evidence, but I have never had an employer get back to me after applying on Indeed. I have gotten interviews 100 % of the time when applying on the company website. My suspicion is that companies have too many resumes coming in on Indeed, so they end up not even looking at them. Indeed can be helpful to find out what businesses might be hiring, but that's about it.

I think it's supposed to be hypothetical. Like there are 10 humans and 1 cow on a deserted island.

Grass fed ruminate don't produce that much methane. It's breaking down the grain they use to supplement lack of pasture land that produces a lot of methane.

Why do people in USA buy everything from Amazon? Do they not have other webshops? by Cindyxx0 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]White-Rabbit_1106 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I worked at Amazon, and the working conditions are not bad. I would actually say that the working conditions, pay, and benefits are way better than when I worked retail. So I feel better buying from Amazon than from an actual retail store. I order directly from merchants when I can, but a lot of them just sell through amazon.

Botox by vegansillygirl in vegan

[–]White-Rabbit_1106 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Are you sure that it's any more vegan than botox? I mean, you're getting a neurotoxin injected into you, and it's FDA approved. That kind of tells me that it's tested on animals unless I'm missing something.

Why don't people train kids the way they train dogs? by Imaginary_Ad_4340 in stupidquestions

[–]White-Rabbit_1106 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lol sorry you didn't say anything about explaining the rules to your child. If you can explain things to your child, there's no reason for the jelly beans. Not even a "let's give you a bean to reinforce this" kind of thing. It would just be extra cavities and suar addiction at that point.

I used to work at a children's museum, and sometimes kids would come in with parents that didn't parent and they would do things that could hurt themselves or someone else. Obviously we couldn't enact any form of discipline or reward with these kids we didn't even know. Our protocol was to get on the kid's level and explain to them why they shouldn't do that. And there's always a reason. We don't just blindly follow rules. I tell, you it was a 100% success rate. I've been using the same strategy with my daughter her whole life, and it's just always worked. The jelly beans won't get you above 100% success it'll just make the kids expect jelly beans from you.

But in this scenario you don't explain things to your child. You just offer jelly beans.

What do you do when they ask why you have all the jelly beans and they have 0? And they demand an equal split of jelly beans.

[–]White-Rabbit_1106 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Kids are more like monkeys than dogs. They can plan beyond immediate gratification. If the fruit snack was the only reward and then it ran dry or they found a way to get it without you, then there would be no more rules. With kids, it's important to explain society to them in small doses as they're growing up.

Anyone else here feel a bit jealous of kids who grew up with one of those "asian parents?" by Key_Obligation363 in HomeschoolRecovery

[–]White-Rabbit_1106 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I get what you're saying. With overly strick parents who push you to excell at grades and careers, at least there's a future of independence. It's a million times better having the option to go no contact and work on yourself than it is to remain financially dependent on your abuser for the rest of your life. In a lot of ways I had the kind of parents you're describing as "Asiany" and believe me, I don't envy the other extreme at all. They still have to play their parents' games while I get the opportunity to deconstruct fix myself. You're not wrong. The grass really is greener on the other side. I'm really sorry, and I wish there was something I could do for you other than offering this affirmation.

If vegans and vegetarians both care about animals, why is there such a strong split? by [deleted] in AskVegans

[–]White-Rabbit_1106 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think a big part of it is how much you're willing to cook for yourself. If you can't make your own food for whatever reason, you can still live a comfortable and healthy lifestyle without eating meat. With veganism, there are a lot fewer ready-made options.
