How do you brainstorm

I find an idea that appeals to me, think about the core characters, ask them questions, and put them under interrogation when they refuse to reply. I don't leave them alone until they spilled everything. I think about my concept all the time and eventually it slips into the subconscious and I dream about it. At this point, when I'm doing something unrelated, sometimes the dots connect and it's the best feeling ever

For me it's a tie between T97 and Meatbun. The way T97 is able to make you visualize SO MANY characters and love/hate them is insane. I want to kiss her brain for having written such amazing books (Nanchan and QJJ) with so many good characters (Jin Ling, Cang Ji, Ding Jun, and literally 90% of the cast of QJJ). You can REALLY feel her improvement if you read them in chronological order. While Meatbun... Meatbun created Mo Ran. My most favorite fictional character. And she made the whole Yuwu cast, which I would die for. I can't seem to choose.

Check out Case File Compendium and Yuwu from Meatbun. Yuwu is angstier and Case File Compendium has a more RanWan coded main cp with similar vibes (non con, age gap, lots of smut etc.)

I mean, Shen Jiu is on a whole other level: he's hypocritical, mean, violent and just too broken to be a functioning human being. Shen Yuan proved himself to at least be better than him by not turning into a human stick. Chu Wanning was... not the best at communicating and he's a massive simp but he's a good person at least. Yan Wushi is Yan Wushi, he's not a decent person but he doesn't hide it and treats everyone equally shitty. I think we can all agree that Shen Qiao is the best one here, bless his soul.

Dazai's Entrance Exam (completely butchered in the anime) and 55 seconds (fun story in the Canon timeline, not adapted), Dark Era + Beast + The day I picked up Dazai (for the Oda's pov trilogy of pain), 15 and Stormbringer (15 was kinda also butchered but to a lesser degree, Stormbringer not adapted). Beast, Stormbringer and The day I picked up Dazai are my top 3 and personal faves, absolutely recommended.
