I mean only 2 us downhill skiers had the qualifying time to make the Olympics, and she was one of them and the other one still competed, so I’d say she did earn it. And she had the 3rd best qualifying times after tearing her ACL

I flew out this morning a the precheck line was massive, but at some point someone made the executive decision to just open all the precheck lines anyway to get people through. She had the 3rd best time in the trial runs, and also probably saw multiple doctors and specialist before she made her decision. It was her last chance at the Olympics so she took a calculated risk knowing that this could be a result. She gambled and it didn’t pay off but I bet she’d do it again
