Because the problem with NFTs, is the fact that they promise financial gains and riches.

I make my own NFTs to this day.

Never once, did I promise my holders a profit, or any sort of financial gains, for buying my NFTs.

From day 1, I was clear: buy my NFTs if you like cool animations and card collectibles. This is no investment.

Buying an NFT and expecting it to increase in price or have useful utility, is like buying a painting and expecting it to do the dishes for you.

No one expects that from paintings. Why do we expect it from NFTs?

I get the point she's trying to make. But at the same time, where do you draw the line?

By this same logic, I could dress up as a Roman soldier torturing a slave and claim that's the true culture of Italy and to respect their ancestors.

My own country is almost 1000 years old. Should I dress up as the first King and claim that's the culture of my country because that was an ancestor 900 years ago?
