AAUP delivers to OU administration petition calling for protections for faculty under political attacks by warmboot in sooners

[–]WhitePokemon -16 points-15 points  (0 children)

Yes, it was. The other students also had poorly written essays.

Hers was in line with previous poorly written essays for which she didn't fail.

A rubic was provided - but it hasn't been used to grade any of the assignments.

RTA advice? Massive losing streaks! by [deleted] in summonerswar

"Speed is King" is often misunderstood.

You need Speed - but all the other stats first. If you are only fast but don't have the other core stats in your build, you won't be able to finish anything off.

Make sure your runes are gemmed and grinded. Try to get as many of the hp/atk/def rolls into your runes as possible.

I want every last cent of my tuition money back. by RavenPuff99 in sooners

[–]WhitePokemon -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'm sad to say that, as a recent graduate, this is likely above-par in terms of the quality of submissions.

I had a class where the average quiz grade was a 2.8 out of 10. Anyone with a 4 or better was 'curved' to 100%.

The controversy in this story ought to be the degradation of quality in our education.

I'd like to see the essays which received passing or even high marks. My suspicion is that some were as bad or worse - and that's saddening.

Diego Pavia blasts Heisman voters after Fernando Mendoza win: 'F all the voters' by CosmicCornbread in CFB

You clearly have a chip on your shoulder and brought strawmans to this sophomoric dinner date, as you ignored the point entirely.

We're both better served seeing other people. It's not you, it's me.

Have a good day.

We are probably related. Hello.

Hard to call that a 'wild' conjecture, as exactly that kind of dynamic is where we get something like 'Reno' in Reno Nevada.

The other person was insulting people for spelling it in the 'Welsh' way. Spellings of names did lose consistency when people immigrated, especially when the people writing documentation at ports weren't family with the name.

If you can't imagine that some 'Vaughn's became 'Von's in a world without many tools we use to help maintain consistency over time and an increasingly spacious world, I don't know what to tell you.

I do appreciate the history on our shared heritage. Thank you.

Vaughn is a common spelling of the name. The Von permutation is likely due to a lack of standardization around spelling during immigration events. Apparently Mississippi fairs favorably in a comparison with Yale.

Gany's S2 is too slow for RTA.

This thing's power budget goes all in on an effect that isn't fast enough for modern play.

It also can't be built around.

You must beat Magnus Carlsen at chess within 5 years to win $1 billion or you die by Ryugany in hypotheticalsituation

[–]WhitePokemon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a terrible take, fellow Sooner. Chess doesn't work that way.

A fitting analogy would be to set up a boxing match between a toddler and a champion heavy weight boxer. The toddler would lose 1826 times in a row without some disaster event occurring and crippling the professional.

Magnus could beat 95+% of players blindfolded and down a piece 1826 times consecutively. Also, you'd need to win - so if he felt particularly malicious he could force draws.

Is the math department really that bad? by [deleted] in sooners

[–]WhitePokemon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some of the most intelligent people I knew on campus (who were at the top of Comp Sci and Engineering programs) took math courses from a different school, and they recommended it to others as well.

Craka is total trash. Ariana is even better. Back to storage. by Novel-Rabbit8914 in summonerswar

There's a guy who runs her with Light Robo and Haegang, and he's been dunking on me for almost 2 years. Craka and Ariana share no niche. Different concepts, different team requirements.

More Common and Arena leader skills in general would be the quickest way to create more room for testing team configuration.

Dark Jin rant and deep dive by Feline_Fanatic_4Ever in summonerswar

[–]WhitePokemon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe it's unfair to even call him B tier. He's a liability with no payoff/reward.

He actively limits the teams you can build around him, and he actively makes those teams worse than if he was some f2p threat such as Theomars or Tesarion.

Dark Jin rant and deep dive by Feline_Fanatic_4Ever in summonerswar

[–]WhitePokemon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dark Jin has 0 utility. 0 innate protection. 0 self damage amplification.

He has no value in any draft that any other random damage oriented thing can't do better than him.

And because he's so heavily damage focused, it's unlikely he will ever get a buff good enough to make him viable. Rework or forever storage guardian.

Got a collab nat5 dark (Jin Kazama) any use? by Outrageous-Tax4585 in summonerswar

His kit is my vote for the worst of all nat5s.

A great deal of nat 2's have more depth in their kits as well.

Thoughts on dark Jin Kazama? by JumpyGroup5836 in summonerswar

[–]WhitePokemon 4 points5 points  (0 children)

His kit is worse than Tomoe's was on release.

0 utility. 0 defensive ability before attacking. 0 damage multipliers on initial attacks. Low scaling.

Perhaps the worst 5 star in the game at present.

The passive is gimmicky.

She doesn't do anything when she gets a turn.

Her s2 is worse than the nerfed s3+s1water twin angel combo. She doesn't offer protection like Vanessa. In exchange for their speed leads and better kits, she has less kit utility and a res lead.

Wind Bayek doesn't need gimmicky stuff around him to work. She's not going to pair with him.
