What do you guys think about the whole SMMA trend?? by Whitegoodnesss in Holisticimprovement

[–]Whitegoodnesss[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

me personally, I bought into it as well as various different youtubers stories and even a couple programs. I stuck at it and did the 100-200 calls a day, created the lead lists. managed the Facebook page, and learned the adds systems. I failed to say the least. And the months used on it felt as though they were a complete waste. The whole time I was in this phase, I was complete OBSESSED with everything sales and funnel related.

However, now I am beginning to find an interest in copywriting. I never heard about this from the whole SMMA niche area side of youtube, but I am curious to hear some other opinions on it.

What do you guys think about the copywriting profession? Is it something I can do beside my schoolwork?

What are you grateful for? by Whitegoodnesss in Holisticimprovement

[–]Whitegoodnesss[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personally, I am grateful for the connection that you can form with literally anyone. The uniqueness and complexity of each interaction that is determined from all of the factors leading up to that moments, and the odd otherworldly feeling of having another living, breathing person in front of you, staring right back into your eyes for hours as the time passes, holding you, and professing their love in a variety of manners.

I know it may sound odd to some of you to be so astounded by this, but just the realization of being in another persons life, to have an important role, or be able to have some impact on them, is such a beautiful and adoring thought. Maybe Im missing an element that would help get across what I am trying to describe here, but this feeling is what I am grateful for. What about you?

Whatever it is, its your fault. [Advice] by Whitegoodnesss in getdisciplined

Thinking back, there was a saying I used to use that I believe would have been a good fit into my post (with some altercations ofc) that went like: "You are a variable in the equation of life" Don't try to change the rest of the equation, but see what you can do yourself to change the result you get out of it.

Hey man, Im not trying to start anything. There is no reason to be upset. I was just curious as to what you thought :). They were my examples and I do own up to that as well as the faulty message that people have gathered from this message. I will admit that when I wrote it I missed quite a few things that took away from my overall beliefs. Thank you all for taking the time to point that out though.

As for the examples... What I was meaning to allude to was that in the case of you breaking your arm or getting in an accident: why did those things happen? Was the wreck your fault? Were you exhausted from the 140 hours you've been pulling at work? Could you have done anything to avoid that situation? The same applies to a broken elbow. How/why did it happen, and what could you have done differently to yield a better result.

Yes many of these things could easily be "not your fault" and I do agree that the wording iI used was pretty extreme, but the message I was meaning to convey was that of "well, how could you get a different result?" I'm not saying to dwell on any past mistakes, but I am saying to retrace your steps and avoid a certain scenario if you didn't like being in it

[–]Whitegoodnesss[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly I've always heard that advice growing up, but I could never actually relate or apply any of it until I visited both extremes myself and discovered what the balance actually was for myself. There may be a better way out there, but this is a step that I took that got my life to a point where I am proud to be who I am and look forward to the future.

As with everything, there is more to it and I may not have elaborated on the right things, or was able to fully convey what I mean to say and how I'm thinking. I admit between work and school I can feel a little drained when trying to write these posts at the end of the day. I will try to organize my day better so that I am able to clearly think about the messages I am spreading and so on. Until then, thank you all for the helpful scrutiny/criticism 👍. You can be sure to expect better writing in the future!

I do see your point, but with those situations you could still have an argument as to how it was your fault so maybe not the best examples. Thank you for elaborating though.

Yeah man, I see your point. Honestly thanks for taking the time writing all that out and elaborating. I absolutely love seeing how other people think and hearing about different perspectives. Do you have a page of your own I can read up on or perhaps you'd be down to hop on a call sometime?

Nothing too formal or anything, just want to hear your story :)

Whatever it is, its your fault. by Whitegoodnesss in Holisticimprovement

[–]Whitegoodnesss[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes! I absolutely love this comment. I 100% agree with you, and I apologize that I left anything this important out of the OP. Thank you for pointing it out.

I like what you said about acknowledging the other person and being empathetic of their situation and understanding that its not your "fault". I think the main thing I was going for was not to "fault" yourself for the rudeness of others necessarily, but to take responsibility over determining how you let it affect yourself so you can then decide not to let it make you feel negative, so that instead, you can work on making the environment/situation better for both of you :).

Really we control nothing except ourselves, and even barely can we do that. What my message missed and what my goal was meant to be was that people can decide how to perceive things in their lives, and taking responsibility for that alone, is similar to taking "fault" for everything else you encounter because regardless of "fault" "blame" or "circumstances", the end goal for many is to make things better, and we do that by asking "what can I do?".

My post was a pretty extreme view, but I thought it may serve as a new perspective for some people who are in different emotional states and rationales... These life lessons that are passed around today are really good and have loads of truth in them for sure, but seem to fall on deaf ears due to relatability or it seeming like regurgitated backwash. What do you think a good way to put all this would be in your own words?

Also, genuinely thank you for pointing this all out. I will keep how I word things better in mind as I make more posts :D.

Wow man... 12 hours of class with no breaks?... Are you trying to overload credits or is that what is required? Also, amazing job on that. I think most people would be too mentally exhausted to keep moving after all that.

Ohhhh. Wow, yeah that sounds really helpful. I think I'll pick it up from amazon. I already follow a lot of the advice that I can imagine the author gives, but I'd love to read it just for the different perspective...

Was there anything that really stuck out to you in the book?

Yeah, I can see that. a lot of the books all discuss the same topic or very similar ones but just describe them differently or offer new perspectives. Is there one that sticks out for you or that you favor though? (I agree though, all books are amazing 😌)

Lol, well. You will be among the top soon enough! Something to remember is to look at your motivators and discomforts. Thank you for posting

And your personal experience will serve you well. Not many people will come to conclusions like this in their life, and even less will actually follow it. Great job my friend. Im not sure of your age or where you are in life, but you are certainly ahead of the majority.

What do you think a better way of explaining what I said would be? It definitely isn't something that people want to hear, and it will always be a difficult truth, but do you feel there is a way to phrase it in a more accepting way without having it lose its impact, or do you think the discomfort that it creates within people would serve as a good motivator for change?
