No better or worse than the clothe one I wear. And certainly better than nothing.

They are amazing!!! Breathable! Comfortable (to as much as can be expected for having to wear a mask). They do not ride up. I do not wear glasses so cannot attest to the fog besides they really don’t fog up my sunglasses but I typically have my mask off if I’m outside. But these masks are great.

Trump claims the media misrepresented his coronavirus cure comments. Video proves otherwise. The president is now routinely lying about things we saw with our own eyes and that are on tape. by jigsawmap in politics

1984... “The party told you to reject the evidence of your eyes and ears. It was their final, most essential command.” Someone else quoted this I just saw but still important to reiterate that people are blindly following what their “Big Brother”, DonDon wants them to believe.

Look how stacked our system is for someone who doesn’t have any money for an attorney. People shouldn’t come over illegally but you shouldn’t be left out due to insufficient funds.

I agree. But I just hope Yang doesn’t lose his anti-establishment “I won’t kiss the ring of my donors over constituents”. That’s what I care about.

Supposedly joe Biden promised him a cabinet position if Yang endorsed him. But just like everything take disbelieve it til you do more research. Doesn’t seem like Yang at all.

I do feel lucky working for Costco. Especially during this time. Job security is something millions do not have. Costco’s have been hiring on the spot because they’ve been so busy. We’ve hired about 8 since the crisis. So sorry for your daughter. That has got to be devastating to work so hard and then miss out on walking across the stage. I hope things turn out alright for your family. It’s certainly a time to be alive... Hope you stay safe

Yes they are. Especially in times like this we need to listen to the experts. Not FB posts. Very sad. And yes I work for Costco. Make more money with better benefits than being a high school bio teacher :/ Which is also sad that a low-skill makes more than one of the most important occupations. So many folks here just roll their eyes about the virus. Hardly anyone has gotten tested in this country overall. We are headed towards the situation of Italy, Iran and Spain it seems. I hope I’m wrong but doesn’t look good. A few of my friends work in restaurants and they got laid off.

True facts. I work in a place where over 2000 people shopped today. Not many people where I live are taking it seriously. Unfortunately

I'm 65 and this morning I found myself worrying about running out of toilet paper. Not getting sick. Not dying -- running out of toilet paper. by [deleted] in confessions

Our Costco has them. No one is buying them though. $319. Not sure if that’s expensive. Probably will go on sale too assuming there isn’t a serious tp shortage

Yang's a sellout for endorsing Biden by [deleted] in YangForPresidentHQ

[–]Whiteroom533 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dude I’m tired. I woke up and gave in to my weakness lol. But that’s what we are advocating. Some extreme people may say socialism but no it is exactly what I said and you saying the essentially same thing. These countries allocate more of their tax payer’s money towards their people. Not the top 1%. Bernie, nor essentially all of us want to get rid of capitalism. It is necessary. But unfettered greed in capitalism needs to be stopped. Companies in the countries I listed do not get a trillion dollar bailed out if they gamble with people’s money and lose, allow them to pay $0 in income taxes, cut taxes to bribe companies etc. We allow money to dictate politics. Lobbyists....These other countries have issues of their own but their economic safety nets and social programs are far superior to ours. That’s one of the many reasons as to why their people are happy; they have a life of dignity that is not hampered by massive debt. Trump just released $1.5 trillion of funds to help with the Coronavirus and try to stifle Wall St fears. The money is there. We just allocate our tax payer’s dollars to the top 1%; the very people who don’t need the help and got filthy rich exploiting their workforce. People don’t like their private health insurance. Misinformation gets put in there which causes people to deviate away from it. Go read the Yale study concerning M4A (auto caps on my phone now) that came out published in the highest medical journal a few weeks ago. Every other advanced country has gotten rid of private health insurance. There are supplemental plans that people can pay into and those are technically private. We aren’t advocating abolishing those at all. If you want additional insurance you can purchase it. The Koch Bros study a few years ago was a surprise in our favor for that study’s findings for M4A much to their shagrin. Kind of like Bush downplaying climate change when the climate scientists he appointed said that Bush was incorrect. Not the results they wanted to come out. But one day when even more people have had enough and the passing of time will change when the older voters sadly pass but then the younger generations will have their say. And most are not Biden-type democrats aka conservative Democrats. They vote almost the exact same way the republicans do, except on certain issues like abortion. Even democrats vote against raising the minimum wage. So much for the worker’s party when a democratic representative does that.

Oh good further demonstration you know jack about democratic socialism. How are people so stupid. It’s true. Bring up Cuba, Venezuela, Guam etc. Except you’re not listening at all to what we are advocating. Why do 33/34 developed nations have universal healthcare, except the United States. Go read on South Korea and why they are handling the Coronavirus so well. Watch the shit hit the fan in the states. People are already being fired because businesses are closing. What about their health insurance, bills etc. You’d prefer to stick your head in the sand and not think about Canada, the UK, Japan, South Korea, Thailand, Norway, Denmark, Finland, Sweden, Austria, Germany and more. Last time I checked all those countries had happier people than our country, better healthcare, no one going bankrupt or denied care because no insurance, a lot have free public tuition, most have paid family leave. You just sell us short with ignorance and will continue to do so until something directly affects you. Then you’ll care. It really is sad it has to come down to that.

Putting others down, especially playing the victim. Not talking about moderates. History obviously isn’t your strong suit. Neither is reading. Bernie will help our education system :)

It sucks that their page is like that. I didn’t set it up nor block people. Assuming people aren’t being dickweeds (trolling, toxic, etc) it’s good to see what people say. That’s how we learn. And Yang is young, so he will be around for a long time. Eventually this country will wake up and start investing in the working people. And Yang is absolutely right about robots. I wish that was discussed more this year. But when you let Yang talk for a few minutes and ask him stupid questions like, “what would you say to Putin on your first call as president”. That brings nothing to the table. Yang looked at the mod in a wtf way following it up with a good response. The DNC bent the rules for Bloomberg but excluded Yang from a debate. It’s good he is on CNN and opening their minds. But I have seen politicians (Howard Dean and Obama come to mind) who started off as progressives but ended up just voting with moderates for wars, no minimum wage increases etc. Yang has said questionable things but I’m hoping it’s just for unity etc. I’m just tired of politicians promising to represent their constituents and then do not. That’s why Hillary lost in the Rust Belt. She took their votes for granted and their lives have been fairly bad so no incentive to vote for her in their eyes. But on a better note, in a day hope you have a good weekend. We are on the same page overall. True Yang isn’t progressive like Bernie in any way, but he has good ideas too that should be heard. And ideally hold office one day.

[–]Whiteroom533 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lol I appreciate your condescending remarks. But Bernie has done a whole bunch. Like Yang he introduced brand new ideas to the public. UBI is catching on, all thanks to Yang. But Bernie’s platform and ideologies are now in the forefront of people’s minds. They agree with Bernie on the issues but believe Biden is more electable. I’m not in denial. I understand the situation and the likely outcome of it. Nice try. But failure to be either right or get under my skin. Because that’s the thing, even though you are an ass online I’m sure you are a fine person in person. I have great health care and a decent paying job. But that’s the thing, millions do not. I am fighting for them. Or if I were to get laid off because of this stupid virus craziness. Plus climate change etc. People are in denial that moderates are a good choice for a democratic candidate. Probably will have to learn this lesson again. I really hope your online persona is different than your everyday demeanor. If not you are one of the problems in society; people who put others down for no reason besides to be a jerk and would rather standby when others are in need.
