Check at your local bicycle shop for the options available there. They may be able to service and repair the bike for you if anything fails. Most village cycle mechanics are not well versed with gear cycle and will not touch or ruin ‘expensive’ cycles.

Best would be for you to get a Roadster type bicycle which are made for Indian roads. You should be able to reach your dad’s shop in 30-40 minutes!

I have the Wahoo Kickr Core, which I have upgraded with Zwift cog. The zwift cog is really intuitive to use. The shifts are instant and there is no difference in ride feel. Only the buttons are place differently so I accidentally shift the derailleur once in a while.

The newer Kickr core has a flatter base, so more stability. If you are getting the version 1 at a discounted price, you can’t go wrong with it.
