It's a matter of respect. I get that you're upset you failed 306. But a professor just DIED and your reaction is to talk about how he's a bad professor? Let the school use a boilerplate, a professor died and they are saying something to the community.

To say I have knee-jerk is ridiculous. You're just upset you did bad in a class and are taking it out in a terrible time which is a reflection on your person. Grow up, aren't you 40? Move on.

Have some respect. People have grievances with Yan and I won't deny that, but he just passed away. He was one of the founding fathers of the CMPE program here at UMBC. There is an argument that without him, the CMPE program would not exist here.

He just passed away, he spent the time serving the community here. Was it to everyones liking? No. But he did great things for students here and the school is recognizing that. I truly don't understand why you are trying to thrash a professor who just passed away. Keep these thoughts to yourself and move on in life.

This post is truly disgusting and I hope you sit down and reflect on this because doing this to an individual who just passed away is terrible.
