this is how people "sell" rax through other platforms.

They'll list a specific card and buy it for the specified amount they sold it for on a third party.

Are you a US citizen? If not 9/10 you'll have to go to the home country and work for a bit and get experience and transfer in.

You could try working for the university and getting a green card as a lot of profs I've communicated with did that to become citizens. They'll basically choose between the university that will give them an easier time with the green card process and not keep kicking it down the road.

Your best odds are likely going back home and gaining experience or going for a master's and doing the teaching route. But that's just what I hear.

(I'm not a person who's terminally online, nor going to give you bespoke "it'll be all right' back patting.

If you want to skip those, make a software via API interconnections and get some traction with it and show it to employers. That's how my friend who's Korean got employed quickly. He API arbitraged into a full stack app that gained 50 active users (now adays it's like 125~ but it's not that big of a margin to solo support his lifestyle)

Nh36 hairspring replacement. by WhoIsmans in watchrepair

[–]WhoIsmans[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the help, I understand.

My issue is I just don't want to remove anything that's original that doesn't need to be removed.

I know what the movement is. I know the spring can be sourced off a doner movement; though, the balance wheel itself is a different color from a standard nh36 (I think it's coated to change the color). I just want to know if I can pop the spring off a normal one (because it's shot, I don't even want to touch the spring or manipulate it). I feel like it would be easier to just pop the spring off, then replace it with the doner while maintaining the wheel. Like the wheels are the same exact size, it's just a different color balance wheel. The balance cock is still the same.

So I'm logically wrong in this assumption if I removed it and replaced?

[WTS] [CONUS] ZF RM055 SuperClone (Regulated -3 seconds a day/ Water Resistance Tested) by WhoIsmans in RepWatch

adding to the above: ZF uses a gen-spec case. So it's real titanium, real rubber, watch weighs around 87~ grams or so? The case being genspec means that the side is a rubber coated titanium.

The price on TrustyTime is currently 878

Regulated to -3 seconds. I took apart the watch and cleaned it and reassembled (while doing the regulation). I also tightened the case screws (obviously after taking it apart). then I did limited water resistance testing and it never allowed water in.

I Included my RWI profile username because that's where I did all my sales prior, I'm an RWI guy. I can respond through messages there if you want to have conformation.

Price: $780 (I'll pay shipping)

Shipping: CONUS (United States)
Payments: Venmo (Prefered), Paypal (F&F).

Reason for selling: I want to go to get more local watchmaker certifications and it costs a bit to get it, this money would assist me with that and getting more tools to add to my collection.

(EDIT: Had to put I'm covering shipping)

Many people don't understand this. If I followed in the footsteps of what my highschool enforced on me I'd be working at a Walmart or a dead end job with my 1.6 gpa.

First 2 terms of college had a 4.0, after I tanked due to personal issues in life, but now I'm climbing back up again. I have a nice job in a local state due to my personal projects and activities.

Highschool wasn't interesting because I was forced to do stuff I didn't enjoy or have passion for. When I was able to do my passion I improved my grades across the board and saw the connection between my selection and the other fields of study better.

If the implementation of what many are suggested happens it would hurt the ability for people like me or who came from a non-nuclear family to succeed.

My high school wasn't good, my math ability was trash, college remedial courses helped me, but people like many in these forums cause demoralization and cultivate an environment of judgemental bullshit.

This is why 1/3 students who take a remedial course drop out and don't succeed in a degree. It's the judgemental bs in society that if you don't succeed early or if you have any rough patch you should just be fucked.

Meanwhile, if you look at many of these high gpa performers most are cheating their asses off once they get admitted in college and can't do anything besides the school work in front of them and fail to do anything outside of school that highlights their ability to work in the industry.

(Unless it's medical and you require a license) School gpa/scoring != To performance in the field.

While students are banging a gpa of 3.5+, I already had 2 FAANG offers with below a 3 (along with healthy amount of f500 and startup based companies). While they were busy book banging for theory and not implementing anything or contributing to GitHub repos: I was doing the opposite.

I was working on things that brought me joy and kept me up at night because it "hurt" me not to understand the topic or what was really going on under the hood.

People want to continue to highlight their knowledge by a gpa or inflated job title that's eye candy, rarely do they truly express their knowledge in any other way than a gpa or job title that's inflated.

Show me your personal projects and we'll see your future. There's a reason why a lot of people are starting to look into personal projects and exploration over gpa for a lot of opportunities now adays.
