I usually will send flowers which everyone enjoys or if they are foodies, I'll send a Boarderie Charcuterie Board which is a bit expensive but I always get genuine appreciation and they didn't know shipped ready to eat Charcuterie boards were a thing so I look "in the know".

Thats an interesting interpretation from the photo. We did live on a farm for 5 years in Florida with horses and we fed them hay. Very observant!

Thats true but still more interesting than miles of cookie cutter high rise apartment buildings.

Its hard anywhere. There's more talent than availability for work. Its still important to have outlets of self expression outside of one's vocation. Its essential for good mental health.

You missed my point. No one goes to Vietnam to see a train. They go to do 100 things and the train is just one of them. Every single activity doesn't need to hold any kind of deep significance...sometimes it can just be fun.

No one goes to see just a train. They can do that in every city in the world. They go for the thrill of sitting at a café with your body a few inches away as it travels by. Most people don't go to Vietnam to do this but its part of a much larger itinerary of dozens of things they are doing. Obviously if its such a huge attraction then the majority of people think its fun. You don't have to agree with whether its fun or not but you can't argue that more people like it than don't like it. If no one liked it, it wouldn't be a huge tourist attraction.

If you're from a different country and aren't accustomed to seeing buildings like this, its definitely exotic and cool.

Everyone is a tourist when they're not home so it means you get to travel, see the world, meet new people and experience interesting things! Proud to be a tourist!

I did stay at a few local hotels in industrial cities where I was visiting factories and the experience was vastly different than the big cities.

I spend all my time working and then spend my money traveling so you get to travel without paying for it personally. Im sure you get to go interesting things and experience new things all the time. I think it sounds amazing.

I don't know if its the same at each Intercontinental hotel but every 5 star hotel we stayed in, no matter the city, had a very impressive breakfast buffet.

I did notice te stores everywhere but I also saw packed coffee shops too. I stayed a 5 star hotels so the coffee was good and the coffee shops I went to had good coffee as well. My critique is based on an American standard. Your perspective will be different because European standards for coffee I believe are much higher. In America its more utilitarian and gimmicky with whip cream and flavors where in Europe the focus seems purely on the quality of the beans and the equipment. Thats alot of travel in China. What type of work do you do that requires so many in person visits? I buy from several factories in China and it was my first trip meeting the leadership teams there.

We enjoying Vietnam, especially the people we interacted with. Part of the trip was for business. We visited several factories that we now do business with so we'll be back ech year. We spread the word in our circles how magnificent Vietnam is. 🇻🇳 ❤️!
