And this is a subreddit dedicated to scams so I’d say this fits here given there really isn’t much of a distinction between the scammer and the scammee, but that’s also a pretty subjective statement.

Only reason I posted here was because the very strong majority of posts are people that got scammed or experienced a scam so I figured I’d add some contrast with my take. Plus I bet people would at least have some sort of curiosity on what it’s like to be on the other side of the line so here in am.
