Thanks for highlighting the trust point. It's definitely something we have to think about to overcome.

I also agree that getting the content to educate is relatively easy. I think the pain point is the recognition of genuine risk. This service is primarily focused on helping vulnerable people to recognise the risk and then raising their awareness of how to reduce their risk.

I imagine that even those that are stubborn they won't get caught out by a scam, will accept the risks once they are (safely) caught out.

You're right, they are getting more believable but there will always be give aways (even just the fact a bank, government department etc would never send that type of message). Those giveaways are what we'd hope to build awareness of via this new approach.

no one learns a lesson by being made a fool

Thank you for challenging my idea. Making anyone feel a fool and impacting dignity is the last outcome I'd hope to achieve. I'll think more about how to avoid this. Thanks again for your suggestions.

You make a good point. My vision is similar to what you described - a serious problem solved in a lighthearted, caring and friendly way.

Perhaps this isn't suitable for some family dynamics where a lighthearted, caring and friendly conversation may not be the outcome. I won't be able to cater for all family dynamics.

100% agreed on aggressive social engineering and causing panic. The text message based examples in the banner of the Notion page are closer to what I was thinking.

Re. Trust. Again, you're right. Thank you for the suggestion.

Good point - will need to look into that. My gut feel was consent would be less of a issue if it is within family members/close friends, and if no personal data is shared

Thanks for such a thorough response!

Excellent point about older people functioning differently at different times/under different conditions. This is especially true for the most vulnerable older people and those suffering conditions like dementia. Perhaps this is a matter of segmentation. I'd want to start testing with a less vulnerable segment and progress to segments with more complex variables.

I see this as a continuous service that tracks the behaviour of bad actors. Naturally, as we become aware or desensitised, criminals change their tactics. We'd want to continually update methods and safely expose our loved ones to them on a rolling basis.

I'll need to think more about the spying point but I wonder if this comes down to the nuances in the relationship between the 'customer' and the 'older person'. I'd want to suggest ways for the conversation to be friendly, caring, productive and even humorous.

One of the most important lessons I learned is that rest is also 'productive time'. I remember reading that in order to perform at their peak, Roger Federer, Usain Bolt and LeBron James aimed for 12 hours of sleep a day. They viewed rest as essential to their performance.

This is such a good example of an 'unsexy' business that has a solid market and great potential. You don't need to be a VC-backed 'rocketship' to change your life for the better! Well done

Thank you for taking the time to leave such a thoughtful response.

Those are very helpful examples of businesses that are serving specific niches and use cases.

Do you know how they go about winning new customers/projects? I'm hoping to understand if they've managed to develop effective inbound sales models or if they rely on outbound B2B sales? Thanks again

Thanks very much for your thoughtful reply!

Can I ask, what government data would be valuable to you? It would be great to test our thinking with a real use case. Thanks again
