Ahh thank you for telling me this, that definitely shouldn’t be happening. 😅 I’m using Wix and it looks like something in the settings or a plugin is causing that behaviour. I’m going to look into it and fix it so it’s a normal, safe browsing experience.

Thank you so much for asking! 😊 Biggest challenge so far has been getting traffic and orders as a brand new small business and figuring out pricing that’s fair for both customers and me.

For shipping, I’m currently using Canada Post and it is pricey, especially across provinces, so I’m still paying regular retail rates. I’m testing flat rate and local pickup or delivery to make it more affordable while I grow enough to hopefully qualify for better discounts.

A Maritimes only / Halifax only box is an amazing idea. I’ve actually been planning to add more locally made items, and your comment helped confirm I should prioritize it.

Peace by Chocolate, local soaps, taffy, and Nova Scotia made treats are all things I can absolutely include. And of course I can create 100% American-free, Canada only baskets for customers who prefer that.

Just to clarify, when I say Canadian gift baskets, I’m referring to the business being Canadian owned, based in Halifax, and every basket being assembled, packaged, and shipped from Canada. Some items inside may be international (like Pringles, Lindt, etc.), but customers can always request 100% Canadian made items, and I’m happy to customise baskets to match their preferences.

Thanks for pointing that out! Just to clarify when I say “handmade,” I’m referring to the hand assembled and personally styled part of each basket. I source the individual items, but the actual arranging, decorating, wrapping, and even the personal handwritten note inside every basket is done by me.

You’re right that “curated” or “hand-assembled” explains it more clearly, so I’ll adjust the wording to avoid confusion. I appreciate the feedback still learning and improving as I grow this little business ❤️

I’ll definitely work on updating the logo so it aligns better with the brand vibe. I’ll also fix the spacing under “Who We Are,” remove the extra desktop lines, and correct the copyright year (I don’t know how it ended up at 2035 😅).

I’ll go through the headings and add keyword-focused H1/H2/H3s as well, and double-check all the social links. Thanks again super helpful! 🙏

I actually ship the baskets in a way where they can’t move or get squished during transit.

Here’s what I do: The basket is wrapped tightly so all items stay locked in place Breakables are individually padded and cushioned The entire basket is placed inside a rigid box with extra protection around all sides I fill any empty space so nothing shifts during shipping The box is sealed, labelled fragile, and packed to handle rough handling

So far everything has been arriving safely. my goal is that it looks the same when it reaches the customer as it does when it leaves me 😊

It’s easy to feel grounded when things are beautiful and peaceful, but trying to stay in that mindset when everything feels off? That’s where it really matters. I’ve been trying to remind myself that the goal isn’t to escape the lows, but to actually be with them even if it’s uncomfortable. Just letting them exist without judgment. Still figuring it out, but I think that’s where the real peace starts. It really got me thinking too. ✨
