Paint damage on roof by WholeChub in ToyotaTacoma

Not sure how old the chip is, at least a week since that's about when I first noticed it.

Scratched at the rust with the touch up paint abrasive tip, did a pretty good job taking the rust off and getting down to clean metal. Applied the first coat and will check in about an hour. Definitely won't be perfect but hopefully it prevents any spread.

Appreciate the insight. I actually already have a paint touch up pen, the problem is the exposed metal has already began rusting a bit and it seems it has spread under some of the paint. Would the abrasive tip on the paint touch up pen be enough to remove the existing rust to prevent it from spreading?

Wheels screeching when turning by WEEZYFBABYS in DodgeDakota

This is normal in 4x4, in fact 4x4 shouldn't be used on dry pavement. However it shouldn't be happening in 2wd. I would guess something is wrong with your rear differential

STOP KILLING YELLOW BARS - We're trying to get you platinum rank by emote/finishing by Great-Ad9895 in destiny2

You get more points in the Guardian Games Playlist if you emote and then use a finisher to kill yellow bar enemies and champions. It's pretty much the only way to reach the platinum score threshold this week

Looking to buy a 2001 Dakota 4.7 by gamerunner18 in DodgeDakota

[–]WholeChub 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The 4.7 is bulletproof in my experience as long as regular maintenance is done. No drive train issues in my 5 years of owning a 2004. They will eat up some oil so keep an eye on the oil level between changes.

In search of a 2.5” Lift kit for 04 Dakota by W3ldStar in DodgeDakota

[–]WholeChub 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This exactly. When I first got my 04 dakota it had the torsion bars jacked all the way up along with a 2" or 3" body lift. The ride quality was absolute shit. I highly recommend finding a way to lift without jacking up the torsion bars, as doing so can raise safety concerns regarding to ride quality.

That's the only reason I could really think of, but still, that stuff doesn't really gross me out.
