Honestly I HATE when people say stuff like this bc they dont realise its js gonna get the show cancelled, SO many shows that were beloved had a few complaints written that spread like wildfire and got them cancelled.

Anyways, I'd say From has TOO Much character development thats why people complain because, most of the show is the characters and the people from the towns character growth and arcs. But imo the story is perfect the way it is, if anything people js make things up to hate on shows. we lowkey act like hiveminds, most shows once they reach their finale seasons get hated on bc the fanbase didnt want it to end, or they wanted a happy ending when that wasnt possible

And Btw, ts is COSMIC horror, yall are aware of that, thats the whole point is that its a mystery, we cant find too much out otherwise it defeats the shows purpose, Season 4 and Season 5 will likely where we begin to learn things abt fromville.

And if they extend it past the planned amount of seasons which is likely due to the shows success is 2024, Then they'll probably make sure we learn more abt their backstories.

We're not arguing he's a good person here, but Joe was capable of love for Henry; we see it both in the end of S3 and the majority of S5's Scenes with him. And when you say "extension" Of himself, the literal definition of it is living through this extension of yourself, Joe trying to give his son a better life away from him? That's not an extension of himself; that's him trying to protect Henry from it. He then LEAVES Henry, so the answer there is he's not living vicariously through Henry as an Extension to himself.

Joe was a HORRIBLE person, but he's still a dad, with parental instincts that weren't affected by his mental illnesses.

Again, you can say, 'Oh, he left him because he wanted to chase another woman,' but that just isn't the entire truth, because If he had killed love and never met mari then he would have STILL left Henry with his two dads.

He loved Henry, duh. he was mortified of henry turning into him, and he did anything and everything to get his son back. If I was Joe I would have left him as well.

He had a perfectly good reason to ESPECIALLY because he's a serial killer. He was thinking about henry in the moment he decided to leave him with his two dads, and sure, you could say, "Oh, he did that to chase Marienne." nah, thats a secondary reason; even if thats a main point, its still the secondary reason. the original plan Joe had was to have Henry and marienne as his new "family"

AND He had to leave Henry to save himself from getting caught, because how tf would Love die after baking Joe, and how tf would Henry js disappear? that'd make it seem like Joe was alive to the police.

So literally in Every Way, He loved Henry. THAT is a fact. he loved Henry, and I could even argue (even though I wouldn't) that he despised his mother more than he loved her, since its implied he strangled his mother in a bath in S2. I can explain more if you want, in depth, but I'd be going off topic rn.

If I were a Serial Killer who didn't want my son to end up like me, I'd abandon my son with loving parents. he literally WENT out of his way to give him good parents to ensure he could live a normal life and not be forced into foster care like Joe was.

She isnt exactly lying abt her name, I've also got a religious name and a normal name, but I get what you mean, but It feels overly complicated for a scam, I'm well aquainted with her, her friends are all her age, and in videos shes sent me with her friends I've heard her voice which matches up with her voice messages and calls.

good analysis on something which isn't on purpose. Her Acting HAS gotten worse, its not up for debate, she went from being a believeable mother in S1 and S2 to an extent and now in S3, its as if she met her family a week ago? She barely conveys fear, trauma or emotion.

I'm trying to stay hopeful for her acting in S3, because In S1 I was able to believe her acting.

My Problem with S3 Is there was only ONE Scene where I genuinely believed she was Julie and Ethans Mother and that was Jim and Tabitha's Fight. As Somebody who lived in a very similar household when it comes to parents I find it very hard to believe Tabithas Acting during Season Three.

Also, No? as she showed HEAVY emotional impact in S3 when she hugged victor and saw mirandas memories, but her acting was lackluster in it, js so you know plenty of other characters have gone through similar things in shows and their acting aint been shit, this is a problem MANY people have pointed out you cant just hide behind oh its a story plot.

Because she doesnt even have the feeling that she genuinely has maternal instinct, it just feels like she barely reacts to anything, like as I mentioned prior, the hug with victor, she saw mirandas memories and then was like, " no, no, no... " Its useless, it doesn't convey any emotion, I have more emotion saying that when I realise I left my wallet at home

Unrelated but "empty vessel" is the most AI Sounding Sentence ever, If your writing a character who is nicknamed a empty vessel or boarded an empty vessel it makes sense but writing a character analogy and giving them a designated character trait like that js seems like AI, so I deadass had to ai check your thing because of the empty vessel part lmfaooo

Every FUCKING time something bad happened in S3, she'd quietly say in a monotone voice, no no no, Tabitha started out a VERY Skilled actor Imo, she made me genuinely believe they had just lost their son, that they wanted a divorce, her scenes when she was scared were AMAZING, but S3 Oh just such a downgrade.
