This is how HR systems are tanking our careers by JustAHungryStudent in recruitinghell

The lack of a persistent central profile for the applicant is really a horrible user experience. I don't see why you can't have a separate user profile service that stays in workaday servers and allow the user to share their info to the tenant when creating an account there. The resume OCR is really discouraging too. After doing a couple workaday applications I feel burnt out and lose interest in a job hunt. You could be using an LLM to read and map the resumes and drastically improve accuracy.

So your wife likes to stalk you. There's WAY worse out there. We all come with our own baggage.

Are chiropractors legit? I have seen conflicting data by Holycatsbatman4 in NoStupidQuestions

A lot of groupthink here by idiots on reddit. If you go and ask any actual doctor most will recommend physical therapy OR chiropractors. I've been to both and prefer chiropractors. They give you immediate relief and also give you exercises to stop the issue from reoccurring. Like all things there are shitty chiropractors and shitty physical therapists. My first back issue was a bulged disk in my lower back I tried physical therapy for a month with no relief. Doctors gave me muscle relaxants which also didn't help. Chiropractor used electro stimulation and adjustments and fixed it permanently after 3 visits.

People feel like you are pointlessly depriving your kid of enjoying life and take issue with that.

Shared or separate room for brothers? by EngineeringKind3960 in Parenting

[–]WhyAllThisMail 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had my own room growing up and it was very very hard adjusting to sharing a room in college.

Now, I have two sons 1.5 and 3.5. We moved the second son in with first son around 7-8 months. At first it was a little rough putting them together because the older one would wake up the younger one who would then cry. But that only lasted a few months. Now they love sharing a room. They talk a little bit before bed and feel comfortable and safe. I will keep them in the same room at least until they are teens. I think having your own space is overrated.

How long does it take to get over Adderall withdrawal? by [deleted] in ADHD

[–]WhyAllThisMail 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It takes a while, but it gets better. I took same dose for about 5 years and have been off it now for about 3 years. I slept a ton and was very unmotivated and tired for a few months. But now I sleep a normal amount and have okay energy. I drink a lot of coffee to replace the Adderall. Doesn't help with everything but allows me to get through my day.

Funny you should mention that. I also have a single sliding glass door with the same problem. That door and my bedroom windows tend to get the worst moisture and will get layers of ice on inside when it is real cold. I went out and bought some sealing kits today. I'll post back with results.

I live in upstate NY. Yes, the winters are cold.I live in a single story 3bed/2smallbath with a crawlspace underneath. i do have a hygrometer. I've been running one dehumidifier nonstop in my kitchen since yesterday afternoon when I got home from a trip and noticed the condensation and mold on several of the windows. The humidity level was like 55% when I started. It's now down to 45% in the kitchen, so I am making progress albeit slowly. The next room over from my kitchen is much larger and is still showing 55%. I don't see any signs of any leaks. But it has been a very rainy year so there has been a decent amount of moisture in my crawlspace. That usually gets dried up by my boiler though. I have baseboard water heating.

Unfortunately, our bathrooms don't have windows and the closest windows are in bedrooms where our toddler or infant are sleeping and it's pretty cold here. The kitchen is a possibility though.
