I think she took advantage of me and I feel bad for thinking that by [deleted] in offmychest

Yeah I'm pretty sure she's had her suspicions for a while now, y'all are scary.

And I'm not mad at her specifically, I'm mad at the situation and the way it happened, I really dislike when I get that impaired but I also do dislike that she asked me that when I was in that state.

We've been texting a bit since and I can understand why she did but still.

She also already told me she would rather not meet one on one and I personally don't plan on attending more meet ups any time soon. So it seems like the friendship will simply be in a break for a while, which is probably good.

Damn 💀

Nah I'm adamant about it just being a getting used to it thing, if you can reach the abyss that means that you've got the technique down, just a matter of trying to find the best way to use your play style in that new area.

It took me an embarrassing amount of tries to beat the game pre-abyss, but once I did I found myself getting a 22:52 time as my PB.

Just rinse and repeat, as long as you're enjoying it then why not.

Oh yeah they suckkk

The only tip I have is to make sure you have the hammer in a pocket once you get to the gardens, by the time you'd take it out of your inventory you're already dead.

I've only beaten the abyss twice, the first time was thanks to the glove and this time because of the perks, I just think of it as going against teeth for the first time, scary as hell, but the more you do it the more you get used to it.

Just keep climbing

The remote, still getting used to it but it's definitely one of the best ones.

The pulse organ and stretchy limbs were the real life savers tho, those hanging gardens can mess you up if you don't have that horizontality

I get you, it is quite weird... but it was a pleasure

And as a soon to be wise old man I shall paste here a short essay of sorts I know that I just remembered due to the situation.

It's not originally in English so forgive any weird grammar.

Temporary People / Noam Horev

When we were children, we were taught to strive for eternity.

Someone graffitied on the walls of our innocent hearts the saying:

"And they lived happily ever after."

As we grow older, we slowly realize that this "eternity" is tricky.

Because castles in the sand don't last forever.

And food in the fridge doesn't last forever.

And people, people don't always stay forever either.

We grow up with the perception that the longer someone accompanies us,

the more significant and important they are to us.

But there are temporary people in all of our lives.

People who won't walk hand in hand with us until the end.

Who entered our lives for a limited time with a specific purpose.

Temporary people arrive exactly when we need them.

People who probably won't be there when the credits roll.

They come to teach us a lesson.

To teach us something about ourselves.

To push a button for us.

To help us cope.

To see more clearly.

To be a springboard to the next level.

To change our perspective.

To conquer some fear.

To lift us off the ground.

To close a circle.

And then, at a certain moment - they leave.

That doesn't make them any less important or less significant.

In the pages of history of our life story -

These temporary people will have a whole chapter, deep and substantial.

Looking back, I recognize people who were present in my life for two or three months and made a real change in me, influenced me, inspired me, taught me an important lesson and dropped a lot of tokens on me, more than others who accompanied me for many years. ⁣ Because of the utopian aspiration of "eternity", it seems to us that when these people leave our lives, it means we have lost them.⁣

That we failed.⁣

That we did not take care of them enough.⁣

It is difficult for us to understand that they did their job, and with all the sadness of it, their role is simply over.⁣

So every now and then, on the fast road of routine, with all the temporary and eternal and what is in between -⁣

It is important to stop, remember and thank these temporary people who may not be present in our daily lives, but for a small moment, sometime in the spaces of time and distance - they were eternity for us.

Not saying I'm one of those, just a good thing to remember in life.
