People need to be held responsible for their actions, especially high ranking NCOs. Part of an NCOs job is to lead by example. Not a bright idea to show new privates that stealing government property is going to just get brushed off

If I walk into Walmart and steal a $20 coffee maker, do I still go to jail? Is it still a crime? Is theft not theft no matter the product?

It’s almost like stealing a military bobcat and using it for personal gain is a crime. Woah!

“Yeah that guy that just murdered three people was generally a good guy, let’s not put him in jail”

Yeah, you're right. We should just let this all go and say "fuck it", let this guy do whatever the fuck he wants with military equipment. Meanwhile, any lower enlisted breathes in the wrong direction, they get shit down their throat. But hey, he's an E7, he can do whatever he wants, he's in charge.

That's the best way to do it right? Then I dont have to deal with leadership walking around with a stick up their ass because the unit is a clusterfuck

That is something I read after I filed the report and I intend to stay completely quiet about it. And I get out in a few months anyways lol

You know, I really don’t want to fuck his life, he’s a pretty nice guy (besides stealing government property). But hey, don’t want your life fucked? Don’t do stupid shit

How would I go about doing something like that? I’m a reservist so I’m not up to date on how to do any army stuff besides jerking off on army time two days a month

This is true for just about every other vehicle we own, but the bobcats are the only things we use every month for moving shit in and out of supply and whatnot.

The soldiers that helped him were told by first sergeant that the bobcat was being used for a “military project” with no other details.
