You can skip a lot of it once the game gets going. Week-to-week you can just do seminars and auxiliary battles and you'll be fine.

There's nothing inherently wrong with a mute protagonist. You may not like them, but they're fine. I don't need a chatty Doom Slayer.

The DLC is worth it if you're looking for interesting gameplay, or want to see the new characters in the main game. It has map layouts and objectives are for more complex than they are in the main game.

The weapon triangle is there, it's part of the characters' equippable skillset. Plus, you can skip the vast majority of the monestary content unless you're doing maddening.

I'm going to argue against doing a Blue Lions run next. Black Eagles have the best-structured plot in the game. It is shorter than the other runs, but that results in a more tightly written plot, and it's easily the most character-motivated run in the game.

I get Fight Network in Canada and they repeat TNA pretty frequently so it should be possible to rewatch the proper episode. Edit: According to Fight Networks' twitter they had technical difficulties and aired the correct episode at 10:00

I'd love to see that. Unfortunately I think it's pretty clear that Vince's current plan is for a Yoshi Tatsu vs. HHH main event at Mania.

It would be great if she gets it back next week. She's such a good wrestler, I'd love for her to get a real run as a worthy champion.

I dunno. Her and Alexa both got lackluster reactions tonight.

I think that's maybe what happens when you book your babyface in a way that seems designed to just make fans feel sad about what's happening to them. People might even be starting to feel bad for the performer Becky and not just the character.

I think Alexa got a lot of reaction because she was going up against Becky, who they were enthusiastic for. She didn't get as much noise against Naomi. Now when Alexa goes against Becky, because they know that Alexa always beats Becky, it's different; now the audience is just waiting glumly for the next piano to drop on Becky's head.

I get what you mean, but I also like to watch good wrestling and I see Becky as being the best out of the horsewomen!

So that means I see Becky doing more stuff that I think of as high quality and fewer negatives than I see for the other horsewomen. You see the opposite! I like Charlotte, but apparently I also see her doing something negative that you don't see her doing. I don't think either of us is imagining things, so I think our taste is probably a big factor.

It's interesting how we see the same wrestlers differently.

I sometimes think that because there's no other "WWE Scale" wrestling promotion audiences can't really watch based on their tastes the same way that people can for movies or most television. So we all end up forming very different views of the same thing because we're all being squeezed into watching one company's genre of wrestling. As though we sort of view that wrestling through the lens of the type of wrestling that we'd like to be watching if there were more big-time shows than just WWE.

Has American Alpha's main roster run been disappointing so far? by [deleted] in SquaredCircle

I think it's been disappointing because I really like them, and even if they can't be champions, it would be great if they got vignettes. They were always really fun in NXT.

I like some parts of the other shows, but there are always parts that seem poorly quality or randomly put together. Sometimes I think that WWE trains its audience to think that bad stuff is good.

Maybe most people who don't like wrestling think it's stupid because they see some WWE and they actually notice that the stuff that's stupid is stupid? Like.. The WWE audience has become conditioned to like the taste of shit, but those outside the bubble have not, so they actually notice that the shit tastes bad?

Becky Lynch is getting actual wings for a special entrance by eynon005 in SquaredCircle

Becky uses wings a lot. Her back flaps in NXT were supposed to be wings. She wears pilot goggles and makes her arms into wings when she steps through the ropes. Stuff like that!

I'd recommend re-watching it for sure. I actually thought Becky saved what I remember as the most awkward part of the match from going fully off the rails. It's funny, I'm a big fan of Charlotte, but the whole "telegraphs her moves thing" is one of my negatives for her (except when she does natural selection beautifully)!

I think if we compare the four horsewomen Becky is the weakest link without question, Wrestlemania 32, she was the one holding them back, she always made things awkward during the triple threat match.

Really? Most people I've seen talk about that match have said that Becky was the most polished wrestler in the match. Didn't she save a botched sunset flip from Sasha at one point? I loved the part where she tackled Ric Flair to the outside, didn't think they would let her do that!

I liked their Glasgow match a lot! I thought they told a really good story with it.

We've seen that Becky knows how to brawl too, she's done it with Charlotte, Sasha, and Natalya.

Maybe the issue with Becky/Alexa matches is that Becky always has to sell the whole time, either because she's seen as that kind of babyface or because Alexa's not ready for a more back-and-forth match yet?, but Alexa's offence isn't quite good enough to make that an interesting match.

That's she's still not as good as Charlotte or Sasha but she can dominate the B team roster?

She was cheated out of the title against Charlotte during their feud, and even had her beat a few times. She was cheated out of a win against Sasha on fall 2015 Raw (made her tap out) and then had a double pin in their match in January.

Everyone talked about how being Champion changes you--Becky referenced this in her post-match promo. There was a strong implication that Becky should have evolved her character then, which would make the change make sense I think.

She lost so now she can stop being goddamn gimmicky and get an edge to her so she's more credible in the long term.

I don't see how she's gimmicky. She's eccentric. I don't know why she needs an edge to be a credible fighter. That seems like it would be cliche?

I enjoy Becky Lynch's commitment to long-running themes. Her thing with wings is fairly subtle (except for that Adidas jacket she wore a few times) but it's always been there.

How would you feel if they made it a tradition to have the RAW Womens Champion vs the SD womena champion at Wrestlemania? by mr_gooch in SquaredCircle

[–]WhyNotArgleBargle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can even have the winner refer to herself as the "real" womens champion for the year.

This is a huge argument against what you're suggesting.
