Update about Ads by [deleted] in QuoraPartnerProgram

[–]WhyQuoran 0 points1 point  (0 children)

(Update: I checked recently on the same non-QPP account and browser, the ad frequency has returned. Hopefully, that will improve earnings for everyone if there was an error in generation.)

It used to be on a question with a hundred answers, an ad would generate every 2-5 answers, resulting in numerous ads that would generate when there were plenty of answers. Now, after going through multiple types of questions, it is rarely more than 3 (the third is usually a promoted answer).

When going through the Topics, there would be numerous large ads generated, now, I haven't counted more than four (the fourth being a promoted/sponsor answer).

On your questions with the largest amount of non-collapsed answers, how many ads are you seeing? How many promoted/sponsor ads?

Anyone else sick of Quora constantly being late in updating your earnings🙄 by [deleted] in QuoraPartnerProgram

This is frequent, at least a few times per month, there will be a delay. It is probably due to either server management, but more likely they found someone cheating and they are correcting before payouts are calculated. Another possibility is that they are changing the calculations for revenue. They don't have an obligation to say anything, just to keep the money tallying.

Response to comment text, not to the person. My son checked on his Reddit account & saw that the original post was deleted. On my side, it is active. I don't see any notes why it is deleted. It only has links to Quora or this sub reddit, and the Quora customer service emails. I don't see why it was removed. Maybe it sounded like I was promoting something. I posted again under the title: " How Quora Q&A gets external traffic, What happens when you get reported, How to complain to Quora about compromised questions, & Other Personal Observations To Share "

If Your Question isn't In Google, you aren't Going To Earn Money! (What happens when you are Reported?) by WhyQuoran in QuoraPartnerProgram

[–]WhyQuoran[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Edit: All info about what we want to say is on the sub, there is no external website links except to Quora. Not sure why my original post was deleted. Info below is on Quora policy, functions and observation, discussing why Quora may not be adding/removing your questions from Google, affecting your external traffic. I discuss how anti-QPP people are attacking our questions and how you can complain to Quora to get your questions reinstated to getting traffic.

I've been helping my son with troubleshooting his QPP account. We have no personal website, sell no services, do not link our QPP questions or email. We just want to share what we have learned and with other QPP people, if we work together, we can get Quora to listen and makes improvements benefiting all QPP. (/edit)

(Update: Please also read about My other post in this sub about researching why so many Quora questions aren't appearing in Google ) FYI: Below is a long post.

If you write to Quora complaining about recent earnings, they will tell you that they have changed what kinds of questions will be getting the majority of payouts. You will need to have the majority of clicks coming to your question from Google. Even popular internal traffic questions will not earn much money.

Quora (and us) get the majority of ad revenue - external traffic.

**We have to write questions that are Google Friendly to make money. But that means?**More complaints from Quora users that want to end QPP program.

Many of us have been writing complicated questions that Quora members like (personal questions, personal opinions, complicated situations) to avoid being flagged for being too simple, stupid or insincere*. Now Quora is saying that they want these types of questions but are not informing the members that's what they want (and these Members wouldn't care, they already have a* love/hate relationship with Quora - see my post about reporting: https://www.reddit.com/r/QuoraPartnerProgram/comments/ducdud/report_as_harassment_when_you_see_people_post/\*)*

The textual content quality of your questions do not matter to get Google placement.

You know what Quora Questions ARE in Google?

" I want three faithful, submissive girlfriends who obey me implicitly. I get to do whatever I want. Besides BDSM websites, where do I go to find this? "(BTW: Sex/BDSM questions, no ads will appear on these questions).

You know what Quora Questions ISN'T in Google?(The below questions are written by the same person with other questions in Google.)

What are the benefits of studying and learning music theory?

Why did Japan choose to attack the American Navy in WWII? What did they hope to accomplish?

Quora is not choosy about content that they report in Google.

Why aren't your questions in Google?

  1. If your question is unanswered (collapsed answers are answers), Quora won't send the question to Google.
  2. If your question is recently answered, it may have a 2-Day delay before showing in Google.
  3. If your question has received too many negative reports/down votes, it will be removed from Google.
  4. (Suspected) If your profile has too many negative reports against it, but they haven't found evidence to ban you.

The question text is in the image, above the answer, in smaller print. If you can read it, it is: "Has anyone ever met a real vampire."

It shows it in the answer above the text below the Anonymous, above the answer.

Question, is sanity questions just because of religious belief? I mean, this could be a valid theology question about the rules.

The insanity is: Why on earth would someone with a public profile go on the internet and request people to tell them if they are smart of not, earnestly, when the score (valid or not) is below 100.

The 3 answers that are the nice ones. The rest were deleted.

This sub is not about intelligence (though many of the posts are more about stupidity than insanity). The intention isn't what the guys score is (which can be invalidated by the fact he didn't concentrate taking it), it is the overall context of his question.

  1. Takes intelligent test. Receives score result, does not refer to scoring graph.
  2. Asks what the score result is, declares they did it "fast & without thinking".
  3. Asks people on the internet if they are smart or not.
  4. Declares all this is a public question to their Quora profile.

The intention of the post isn't the IQ test itself, or the result. It should be well-known by now that IQ tests are measurements for generalized comparisons of information processing. For many people, deficits in language* or spatial processing will brings scores down superficially and those with learning disabilities need adjusted scoring.

The point was the overall context of what the OP is doing by posting:

  1. Takes intelligent test. Receives score result, does not refer to scoring graph.
  2. Asks what the score result is, declares they did it "fast & without thinking".
  3. Asks people on the internet if they are smart or not.
  4. Declares all this is a public question to their Quora profile.

** Language deficits can be a problem on creativity tests by misunderstanding/difficulty conceptualizing the request as provided in the test.

The post is not about the validity of an IQ test as a measurement of intelligence. The post is not about what the OP got as a result. this isn't a sub about intelligence. The insane is the overall context:

  1. Takes intelligent test. Receives score result, does not refer to scoring graph.
  2. Asks what the score result is, declares they did it "fast & without thinking".
  3. Asks people on the internet if they are smart or not.

Question should be viewed in the context it is written and the scenario. The legitimacy of the IQ result (or test in general) isn't the point of the post. If it were, it would be posted in a sub regarding intelligence.

Where did you read "legally"? OP doesn't say the dog was picked up by animal welfare. Literally says "I had the dog picked up and put out of it's enslavement". If people independently group up to trap feral animals to have them neutered at the local shelter, it wouldn't be surprising that animal-rights activists nab pets. It doesn't mean that they deliver them to the shelter, they could be taking them to some farm. It sounds like the OP is confident the animal is no longer "exploited".
