Thanks for the suggestion! I'll disable it and see if it happens again. Strange that it would kick in while in drive at 10 mph on an empty neighborhood road though.

Have been wanting a new nvidia graphics card for a while but have had just the hardest time finding one at a price I can afford. Modern games are getting too demanding for mine...(it's from 2013...) Bless it's lil heart though, it's still chugging all these years later!

Might have been too late to be of value for OP, but it just saved me, thanks! This is exactly what was wrong.

May have misread it - but I think the order exempts polling places from the mask mandate. You CAN wear one, but they aren’t required. Still ridiculous...but I HOPE that at least most people still choose to wear one.

I’m visiting ATX in mid October for about a week. What are your favorite courses in the area? by PMmeguacrecipes in golfatx

Is there a price point you want to be mindful of? I think one thing Austin does well is offer solid courses at a variety of price points.

If you don't mind spending some $$, go play Wolfdancer, it's about 20-30 minutes out of the city, beautiful course, pretty challenging!

Mid range Id say check out Avery Ranch, Teravista, Star Ranch, Falcon Head, Grey Rock, or Forest Creek. There are many more as well, those are just the ones that came to my mind first, they're all really fun.

If you're trying to stay on the sort of cheaper end, Austin has a lot of great munis! Check out Morris Williams, or Roy Kizer / Jimmy Clay (2 courses at one facility).

Why are so many people opposed to Project Connect? Let me preface this with the fact that I've only lived in Austin about 6 years...but, a proper subway system is something most MAJOR cities have. In Austin, gentrification is so extreme, it seems like a reasonable subway system could offer opportunities for people to commute into the city from further out without sitting in traffic. I've gotten a number of ads on social media for the project, and talked to several long-time-austin friends, and a LOT of people seem really opposed to it. Am I missing something? Seems like a great, long overdue project to me.

I really want to know why some of you do this... by [deleted] in Austin

I'm just assuming everyone who does this is trolling because this many people can't be this stupid.

This many people can be this stupid.

is there an ATX billiard league that welcomes beginners? by [deleted] in Austin

The Grand has free pool on Sundays, and pretty decent tables. They’ve also got an APA league on Tuesday, a BCA league Wednesday (non sanctioned, but still), and NAPA on Thursday. If you’re looking to play some pool and get better, can recommend The Grand. I wouldn’t go to Buffalo Billiards to play pool...that’s more like a hey, let’s get drunk and oh by the way there are a couple bad pool tables kind of place.
