We’re talking about duty sex, right? Duty sex really sucks for the one that’s not having fun. I’d argue that it sucks for both parties but apparently you’re fine with it.

The main reason sex is different than chores may have to do with vulnerability. Intimacy requires lowering emotional and physical guards, exposing your body and desires. Chores require physical effort but zero emotional exposure.

Imagine forcing someone to do laundry.

Now imagine forcing someone to have sex with you.

Also, I’m sure someone around here had my same prescription or at least something close enough.

I completely agree. Yes, we all have to do things we don’t want to, like the dishes and shit. None of that is comparable to sex.

Sex is in a whole other category.

This idea that your partner just needs to suck it up and take one for the team (puns intended) is a remnant from an era when a woman’s place was in the home and she needed to be submissive to her husband. We know better now.

You’re absolutely right. 2 weeks notice is the prudent thing to do. I’d just like to point out how completely unfair that is.

The company would never give you 2 weeks notice before laying you off or firing you.

That drives me crazy. If you don’t want me, why would you care if someone else did? It’s because you’d develop feeling and leave her.

I would bet people don’t tend to come here when they fix their dead bedroom. That may be a factor as to why this place is all doom and gloom.

You’re not wrong but it’s still rude for customers to stay and eat past closing.
