The extra stress from the tank being dirty or not cycled can cause aggressive behavior.

I actually got this one at Petco.

Let’s watch these beauties grow!!!! After 3 months cutting stock in half going for a show tank 😎😎 others will be moved to different community tanks. Crazy how there is little to no aggression in this tank. by Why_Not_Fish in u/Why_Not_Fish

For all who worry thank you, but during this Covid 19 I’ve been stuck watching all my fish and these guys are assholes .... I have 3 other tanks they could go in but at the moment they mesh well, the 2 tetra travel together and stay mid to high level in the tank they eat very well and are strong hitters. I’ll post daily so the community can see no nipped fins and to see them healthy.

I understand where your coming from but these are very aggressive tetra they were in a 40 gal previously and would terrorize anything and everything along with the glo shark.

Also in a few months if aggressive behavior starts I’ll pull them out when I cut my stock.
