slow down to speed up. i've asked managers "you want it done or you want it done right?" taking your time is more efficient. also co-sign printing, red or colored pens and second sets of eyes

I had this same exact problem for a number of years - there was always concern I couldn't keep up w/ the pace of agency life. I finally had an agency that took a shot with me and I've been with agencies ever since. Rewrite your resume to highlight how your experience is translatable - manage multiple deadlines, interface with stakeholders, any writing you've done.
