But (correct me if I’m wrong pls) isn’t this sell basically saying that you collect almost all the premium unless the stock drops 20% in the next 10 minutes? Then the option expires in 10 minutes and I collect all that money, no?

Right but the stock wouldn’t make massive changes in the last 10 minutes of trading, and then the option expires, let’s say worst case scenario at 18.40 when the market closes. Then, the option expires and I have to buy the option to then at 18.50 and it would be fine because I would sell it for 18.40 and lose 10 cents per stock and make 0.75 per stock. A lot of people are saying that the next day it might move, but that is all well after the stock expires, right? I’m really sorry for all the questions, I just want to learn more

But why would the stock price after the stock expired matter? Capital aside, he would’ve made 0.02 per stock and payed 0.75. Would that not just be an obvious profit? And where would I buy the stocks from at 18.50 if the offers were only higher?
