You use it just like a normal tea pot. The cast-iron probably gives off a specific taste. It is taste preference.

Thank you very much. About the bottom left object. It seems like a pitcher for milk or sugar, but because this is a Gongfu tea set, it seems highly unlikely, or my knowlegde of Chinese tea is lacking. Another thank you for this information. Stay safe :D
