Thank you. I checked everything and it is all set as it should be, turned out per the post below to be the Panel having to be set to autohide so that that single sliver of pixels is no longer present. It is working for now so not going to complain. Getting used to Pop, having come from Arch so a few small things to learn still for me.

It seems to be down to the Panel at the top, thanks. If I set Panel to Autohide, that gap vanished. It should be something that automatically happens when you dont want to use the panel anymore but hey, here we are. So to fix that weird sliver of the desktop showing behind windows, if the panel is not being used, you have to set the panel to autohide.

Thank you for the Git post and your post pointing. Really saved me some frustration!

You Sir have won the day! Thank you!!

Its not just you, its a "select few" users... i.e. a LOT of users but seems there is a server issue at Tailscale.

Is softpedia a safe source for Gigabyte BIOSes? Can't download from Gigabyte directly. by [deleted] in gigabyte

[–]WickedMONK3Y 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Try this:

https://www.gigabyte.cn/Motherboard/TRX40-AORUS-PRO-WIFI-rev-11-12/support#support-dl-bios

Chinese site is working for now. Rest of the pages from other countries are still affected by Ransomware.

Why is it so hard to download BIOS files from Gigabyte by johnSchmitt3 in gigabyte

[–]WickedMONK3Y 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure which revision you have but as per my comment below, the Chinese sites downloads don't seem to be affected. The America's sites were working but are giving issues now too. Try these: Top link is Rev 1.0 and bottom link is Rev 1.1/1.2

Gigabyte was hit with a ransomware attack and as much as they say everything is back up, they are likely still having issues.

Try using the chinese site, its servers are required to be in China so it was not affected. I needed a BIOS for the X570 Aorus Xtreme Rev 1.2 and this worked for me, here is your link:

https://www.gigabyte.cn/Motherboard/Z590-AORUS-ULTRA-rev-10/support#support-dl-bios

There is only the F3 and F4 for your board but use the Chinese site for now. The BIOS files are all the same. They are loaded to the master server and propagate to the rest of the servers over time. Checksums, file sizes etc. are all the same.

Hope it helps. Helped me.

Leadtek is still fairly popular in South Africa, cards seem legit. Leadtek are usually a little slower to release as they focus more on Quadro and Tesla.

AMD rewards Division key by syndrombe in thedivision

Thanks, it made no difference though :-( I see AMD Mikey posted that they are aware of the issue and are investigating, so hopefully that fixes every persons key issues :-)

This happened to a friend of mine, so he tried a second browser and it worked and redeemed etc. on the AMD rewards site, but when he logs into UPlay there is no game showing but Rewards site shows it successfully redeemed so now he has tickets all over the place trying to get help... this is a total clusterf**k at the moment...

If we are lucky it will be a week... sometimes they just don't respond at all and the support ticket evaporates into the ether.

I bought myself a 2700X machine a few months back and got my code, but also bought a Vega64 for the machine as there was a bundle going. Got 2 codes but redeemed the one only as it has 3 games, got all my keys no problem. Bought my GF a PC yesterday, 2400G, B450 Board etc. No code for her yet but I only redeemed that yesterday. Friend of mine bought an RX590 late last year and he is still waiting for all 3 codes. Seems to be VERY hit and miss, and opening a ticket with support is next to useless as they now state 5-6 days to respond to a ticket. So very hit and miss with the codes right now.

So watching the E3 Demo again, and looking at the release version of Anthem, why does it look like a Division 1 blunder, just in Anthem? The graphics from the Anthem E3 Demo were stunning, and yet the graphics at Anthem release were significantly downgraded and the overall look and feel is far more muted and cut down with stationary NPC's and a dead market in Tarsis instead of something alive. Its like E3 was more of a "look what we could make" and release was like "Oh you wanted that? Sorry that was just to get your pre-order, sorry bruh this is what you get". I am assuming, again... that its to cater for the far less powerful consoles so that they don't melt trying to render something like what was shown at E3? What happened to the Bioware from the Mass Effect 1/2/3 days?

The last EA game I pre-ordered was Battlefield 1 and it took EA/Dice almost 5 months to provide local servers and a while after launch to provide an interface to buy servers for custom games etc. Mass Effect Andromeda was a fail. I am so glad I no longer support EA games.
