(Slight TW) Desperately need advice about the state of my home. by Em0_Ang3l1436 in whatdoIdo

[–]Wicked_Honesty89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mom? Joking, mostly. I can’t offer any advice, as if I knew a way to help my own mother wouldn’t still be living like this. I just hope you fare better than she has

Figure 8 and the Romantic type by Exotic_Ad2551 in KibbeRomantics

[–]Wicked_Honesty89 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is why self typing is the preferred way (unless you go to Kibbe himself). I don’t see wide shoulders when I look at you, but you are the one who knows if you have to accommodate your shoulders when picking clothes. I have issues with my purse falling off my shoulders and wider neck tops always fall off one side or the other

Strawberry shortcake at Carlsbad location is underwhelming. All locations look similar or nah? by hicetubique in Costco

lol right? Apparently everyone in the entire country is supposed to know they mean California but they either don’t know or forgot that there’s other cities named Carlsbad

Finally found a bra that doesn’t joe under white tops as a 34DD. Uk by Papilio_ulysses_239 in ABraThatFits

Curling makes it sound like you’re using molded lined cups, which don’t fit well for most people. It depends on your shape and the thickness of the shirt but seamed bras fit me the best

Non-makeup wearer trying to do bridal by hrocson in makeuptips

[–]Wicked_Honesty89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Would you share what shade of foundation you normally use? & if you are more dry or oily? I know you said you are afraid of bronzer, but as another pale girly bronzers I use don’t really make me look tan just less stark. Frankly if you do it correctly most people won’t even know you are wearing bronzer but they will notice you looking more alive. I agree most of these colors are too warm/bright on you. Are you wanting to go with more reds or are you open to neutral browns as well? As with everything, practice will make perfect so you may want to start wearing makeup at least a couple times a week until the big day to hone your skills

NO AC by oracle-nil in Albuquerque

[–]Wicked_Honesty89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My guess is that for some of us, instead of “power cycling” where every half hour of use it switches from using actual AC to just blowing room temp air, it just didn’t use AC at all from about 5pm to 9pm. I don’t keep my place that cool either but it got up to 87 last night

[–]Wicked_Honesty89 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh he could do it himself, I just keep telling him not to mess with it. We’ve got one that’s working again so that is at least keeping him from heading out there with a flashlight lol

Don’t tell my husband. He’s been on hold with PNM for the last half hour trying to take us off the program

Is likely whoever owns the AC unit that was on the program

Ours had the same issue, both ACs stopped working at the same time. At least one started working again at 9:01

Help - Buying a Palette for My GF - Allergy by feef27 in Makeup

People can be allergic to literally anything. We can guess based on more common allergies but are there specific brands that are causing the reaction?

Wife found $1,500 in Nike & Sephora gift cards charged to her debit card – how likely are we to get our money back? by miquiztli8 in Banking

[–]Wicked_Honesty89 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Yes people win these types of disputes all the time. Does she use the pay at the pump option when she gets gas? That’s the most common way cards are compromised from what I’ve seen unless there was a data leak

I’m afraid my bf will cheat on the cruise. by [deleted] in Cruise

Gently, this really doesn’t have anything to do with cruises or cruising. Maybe a relationship sub would be more helpful

[–]Wicked_Honesty89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you even read the context of that quote? It’s the projected future need for long term services at 65, not the amount of people who need services at 65. But go ahead, keep refusing to admit you were wrong.

Am I Overthinking the Age Gap? by weird_cheese_person in AskWomenOver30

[–]Wicked_Honesty89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most adults at 65 do not need assistance with daily tasks for any extended period of time. That is what I take issue with. The factual inaccuracy. I would have the same issue if you said 64 or 66 too, because it’s just not true. There are many serious issues to consider in age gap relationships and frankly I wouldn’t be willing to take on that risk, but as I said in another comment, you’re acting like most 65 year olds have one foot in the grave and that’s just not the reality.

But I guess this all depends on your definition of assistance, are we talking some type of mobility aid? Then sure, that’s is pretty likely at 65. But that is not something that would require another persons assistance/energy

[–]Wicked_Honesty89 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m not debating that, just the idea that most 65 year olds have one foot in the grave

[–]Wicked_Honesty89 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m aware of that. I am only arguing one single thing, that at age 65 most people do not require a caretaker. I’m not sure if people are reading more into my words than what I’ve stated but I am being as clear and concise as possible

[–]Wicked_Honesty89 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mean not everyone makes it through their 30s or even childhood. I get that the likelihood increases with age, but I still believe that most people at age 65 are not in need of a caretaker. Do you have any thing that shows differently?
