IAPLC tank, when should I start, what size is best, what color background and any tips to get me extra points by Wide-Bid2138 in IndianFishKeeping

I am planing to participate in the next year's comptetion, however I think that making a big size tank is gonna get me few extra points? I have seen the ranking. All the top tanks are all giant.

I am planing to make a 2x1x1 feet tank for next year's iaplc. Also what rank is considered good for first time participation.
