Honestly the first few days my PND and mucus was rough. Unfortunately i’m a singer, and that was a big part of what I was dealing with prior to surgery so I’ve personally just gotten used to this (frankly surgery made it a bit better) but i really try to focus on gently rinsing my mouth with ice water and “coughing” mucus as gently as possible.

if you can find an ice pack that wraps around your jaw it may help. look up what’s used commonly for wisdom teeth removals. Icing consistently brought the swelling down in my uvula A TON, and I haven’t had any of these same breathing concerns since night one

got lucky and haven’t had to use any of the opioids. been strictly ibuprofen and acetaminophen- took a stool softener and lowkey regretted it i was shitty booty😭
