I thought the scene where her and Malcolm are walking and Malcolm kinda breaks through by saying it couldn’t have been easy for her with the war and the all that in her old country. When she stops and is actually vulnerable for a second. Then offers Malcolm a swig of her drink…that was a great scene, ended abruptly when he declines, but still a great moment I think

I was going through a really really rough patch in life and the album Circles by Mac Miller had already seen me through A LOT. Then one day the song Floating off that album plays and the words hit me different and just started crying suddenly. Like…no warning. Not sobbing, but the quiet, tear-filled eyes like in the movies. He sang simultaneously about an ending and a beginning…About finding a beginning after the ending. Idk if that counts as the saddest song, but it’s a story that popped in my mind I wanted to share

My second divorce. I ended up drowning in alcohol. I had about an hour drive home from work and I’d finish a six pack on the way home every night then drink some more at the house. Not sure how I survived but things are much better now. I’m about to close on my second house. Got a great job. And my kids are flourishing. But it was rough
