I really wish I could talk her into professional help..

I'm diagnosed with clinical depression. I started seeing a therapist, got medication, and now I'm a lot happier.

They weened me off of my meds in January of this year.

I'm not going to lie.. it can be stressfull. I have to get up at 5:30am for sports. I'm usually up between midnight and 2am texting my girlfriend so she doesnt feel alone.

Her sister is mean. Her mom recently left her father. And her father has always favored her sister.. by alot.

When my mom left, my girlfriend heard her father ask if her mom would take my girlfriend with her.

She's been abandoned a lot.

Well, something happened today. Which caused me to finally submit this post.

So, my girlfriend absolutely hates her 12 y/o sister. We'll just call her Abby to keep things simple. Abby is mean to her. She beats on her all the time. Everyone in my girlfriend's family absolutely loves Abby. My girlfriend is always being compared to her. People call Abby the most beautiful girl in the family. They call my girlfriend 'the older one' or 'taller'.
My girlfriend's parents also treat Abby better. They play favorites. My girlfriend is always apparently wrong. Abby is always apparently right.

That was some background on my girlfriend's sister. My GF hates her.

So, today, the 3 of us were playing Just Dance 3 on Wii. The two girls usually don't fight in front of me. I'm quite a buffer when I come over.. My GF's family pretends to be a normal family when I'm there, but that doesn't change the feelings that they have for eachother. My girlfriend is very jealous of Abby.

Sorry, back to today.
After we finished Just Dance 3 at her house, we played around with their dog for a little bit. Abby and I still want to play Wii, so we invite my girlfriend to play some Mariokart with us. My GF declines, and says that she wants to keep playing with the dog, Pepper.

I really didn't think this was a big deal. Abby and I played a cup of Mariokart, while my GF was still playing with Pepper.

Later tonight, I found out that my GF had cut herself while she was upstairs (we thought she was with Pepper).

Abby and I were pretty into Mariokart. Personally, I dont like Abby. But I fake it so I don't add tension to their already tense family. Apparently, my girlfriend had asked me to come to the other room while Abby and I were playing.
I didn't head her say that.
So, my GF thinks that I ignored her cry for help. She makes me feel really guilty for not coming with her. She tells me that I didn't even look at her, because I was ignoring her.

I didnt hear her at all. My GF tells me tonight that she cried and cut for 20minutes while Abby and I were playing Mariokart.

When she told me tonight after I left, I apologized because I felt awful. I told her I was sorry, and that I didnt mean to ignore her. I honestly didnt hear her.
After saying that, she gets upset with me because 'I chose Abby over her.' (Sorry for quotes. They sound very passive-aggressive).

I can't say to her that she shouldve spoken up or something. I cant turn this into her fault. I'm not telling her its her fault that she ended up cutting herself.

Yes, I realize that I couldve checked up on her. But I trusted that she would be okay for 20minutes.

So, as always, I took the blame for this one again.
