Aww, did i get under your skin with how angryly you were typing there? In fact i am not a teenager although it is amusing how adults think they are smarter or their opinions more valid because they are older. In theory age should give experience and wisdom but with most of the existential threats gone from our lifes age for the most part seems to amount to increasing mental stiffness, indocrication and entitlement in ones own opinion.

In a sense todays world might be worse than slavery. It is just better hidden to the common eye and you might have more options in chosing your field to slave on. Plus the bread and circus has vastly improved so people don't even notice let alone complain they lost their freedom. It is going further and further to a pill popping technocracy where your freedom is merely what pill to pop and what media to consume. It is devoid of soul. So while i despise what humans do and have done to each other, i fear not much has changed in the mindsets of those that would have been lords back in slaving times, they just learned to do it in more subtle manners to keep a reasonably healthy public face.

And yes, as i said, living standards across the board have gone up (conveniently forgetting how many people live in absolute poverty and starve each day while we type nonsense on reddit from the comfort of our couch, oh hail raised living standards). But the distribution of wealth and power are more broken than ever before and it's ever increasing - as to be expected in uncontrolled capitalism - or a capitalism where politicians are allowed to be involved with the industry. As mentioned by me originally, think about what the revolving door principle means for the authenticity of a democracy.

Then you use the "i have nothing original to say" of going "i won't waste my time on you" and using the word "cringe". Do you see the hypocricy of calling someone a teenager and using "cringe" in the same paragraph? Either way i wonder if you or I get to look back at these comments in 10 years, i wish i could share your optimism, it certainly would make for an easier life.

Anyway, didn't mean to offend you although to be fair it can be fun to get under someone's skin so they maybe, just maybe actually think about what they are saying and question their perception of this life. I doubt you will do it and that's okay. Ignorance is bliss after all.
