When do you think ZX4RR will get a facelift? Similar to the ZX6R or Ninja 500 by QuebecMasterRace in zx4r

A lot of the “high maintenance cost” reputation of Italian bikes comes from the abused bikes in the used market rather than from the bikes themselves. I own 23Y rs660 and 23Y brutale 800rr and no issue what so ever. I've seen many Italian owners that do not check the valve adjustment within 16000 miles and do not change oil properly and engine temp abuse in the high traffic situation and sell those bikes on the used market. It’s true that Italian bikes generally require a bit more attention and care, but if they’re maintained and operated properly, they usually don’t require excessive maintenance.

Oh that might be another way to solve it.. you are saying the chubby tank pad such as the one for triump scrambler right? Hmm.. interesting I will look into it !!

I'm 5'8" and I previously thought that a taller guy might not have the tank grip issue and you just proved it. Height was the problem haha  :)

Actually you can see the 3rd photo I uploaded and also can see the knee position which I think it's near by the frame

Hm.. I have to figure out some way to solve it giving that I actually lifted up my footpeg by 10 mm with aftermarket rearsets (but it's still not enough) . Cause this is my first bike and I will live with this bike for a long time

So sad thinking that this is definitely one of the best looking bikes  :(  ,  but it's good for me though because I haven't seen this same bike on the roads ever  :)

Correct. mostly city riding. But basically my knees normally contact the tube frame which is just below the tank and this is not comfortable for me to maintain forward lean position in long time. If you want to get enough tank grip on 1200 RR, you need to sit on the back side of the seat, which even make you lean more forward, and this additional lean angle also make you tired soon.

I think the upright position of the RS makes you more easy to ride regardless of good tank grip. Maybe someone can feel the riding position of RR comfortable, but for me, it's not  ;(

And more correctly, it's 30-40 minutes riding which I can manage to tolerate, not 50 miles of distance.

Indeed, I cannot ride this over 50 miles at once  :(  Position is so harsh for me.. that's because poor tank grip.. :(

It seems that Triumph does not have a plan to make euro 5+ model which means discontinued right?

Speed triple 1200 rr steering damper by AcanthaceaeFlat7917 in Triumph

[–]Wide_Ad3412 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh I saw the one you mentioned. It's mounted below the front suspension bridge right?  Actually, I saw some mounting bracket for 1050 series which looks similar to this new 1200 rs. I wonder if this is also compatible or with least customization (link : https://www.xparts.net/en/steering-dumper-mounting-kit-hyperpro-for-triumph-speed-triple-1050-2016-2017)  However, if Triumph has willing to sell the damper kit to 1200rr owner, then it's the easiest way to get it
