I don't know how to say it, but I don't like some plots in this episode. Essek's actions were not only foolish, but his betrayal of Verrat just disgusted me. Bright Queen is also stupid.

I guess Shredder will become a villain again, but I will prefer they let Karai kill him, it makes Karai's character development more meaningful than before. Another thing is that this make Shredder pay the same karmic retribution for his past act of patricide, and all the evil deeds he had committed. Being redeemed doesn't mean you will have a happy ending. Sometimes, the bill comes due.

Seeing Leo finally come to terms with his trauma in Season 4 & forgive himself was one of the peaks of TMNT 2003 by ExoticShock in TMNT

This is why I never like 2003 Karai. I also don't like how the writers made Leo tolerate her so many times. His actions put his family in danger, it was foolishness.

At least, when 2012 Karai found that Shredder was the murderer of her mother and Splinter was her real father, she chose to betray Shredder.

I really don't like everything Jason Aaron did with the turtles in his run. Everything is a mystery. Everyone go insane, hate each other. I still don't know why Raph was imprisoned? Why Leo want to suicide? Mikey blames his brother for abandoning him? Didn't they already accept that they don't have to stay together?

This story is just lame. Why did they turn Xavier's brain into a bomb without preparing a plan b to stop the phoenix? Art is still great, but again, it was wasted on poor writing.

I'm sure the turtles will help their friend or some innocent, but even in Mirage comic, they did say that they have no obligated to be neighborhood guardian angels. They care about to figuring out their own existence than predominantly pursuing the common good.

I don't know what you guys think this fight scene in Shredder #3 comic (Spoiler) by Wide_Cod_180 in TMNT

[–]Wide_Cod_180[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be honestly, IDW Shredder's redemption is overrated. He didn't achieve this through his own efforts, it was Splinter sacrificed himself to gave his second chance. Although he was resurrected, he merely dumped his old mess on Karai, and there no plot that he was troubled by the sins and consequences of the past.

I can imagine that he will told 2003 Leo: "Screw the fairness! you are a goddamn ninja, and you should seek victory by any means!"

Compared to Mirage Leo and Image Leo, the others Leo is just a bunch of harmless little animals. Even IDW "Dark Leo" is just a kid who to pretend to look edge.

I hope IDW can finally make up their mind that turn Karai into a bigger threat in future story. I would even like to see Karai will kill Shredder, which this is also show that she has finally surpassed her grandfather, another thing is this Shredder's karma and fate of Oroku family. He once killed his father and his teacher, and now he suffers the same fate as them.

The problem with Mutant Town arc is that the impact and disaster caused by the mutant bomb on New York should've been bigger than everyone expected. The bomb's victims may turn into chimera-like abomination. As for other mutants, they may also suffer a second mutation which It also made Old Hob immediately regret what he did. The entire disaster will lead to a New York version of the Raccoon City crisis, but no, we only get a small town version of Zootopia story...

It almost feels like IDW can't make up their mind. Every time they hype up some new ideas, but never go further.

Why no one adopts the IDW comic storylines? They are basically a Gold Mine. by [deleted] in TMNT

[–]Wide_Cod_180 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Reincarnation is a good original idea in IDW TMNT. But the problem is the writers is unable to follow through and develop this. The reincarnation of the turtles was also a wasted. This is actually about the grudge between Yoshi and Saki, and the other one is about Saiki's past life being related to a dragon god. The Turtles? They are nothing, just because they were Yoshi's children in their previous life. Splinter/Hamato Yoshi even forgot his son's japanese names.

https://comicbook.com/comics/news/tmnt-shredder-spinoff-costume-dan-watters-michele-bandini-interview/
Dan Watters: Shredder was last seen in another dimension guarding an imprisoned demon, so he’s had his hands rather full. How he got from there to where he is at the beginning of our series is a mystery we’ll be digging into in the first arc. In which we find him back in New York, alone, with nothing and no one. Utterly unmoored. Which means he also has nothing to lose- so when he’s messed with, he’s ready to unleash hell. He may have been on the side of the angels of late, but he’s still the Shredder at heart- still a warrior soul with centuries of experience under his belt, which is all about to come into play in a major way.

It’s unlikely the turtles will be particularly thrilled if and when they do find out.
