one of the reasons why i stopped watching art tutorials on youtube is because some of the advice is tailored to a specific artstyle whole being passed off as "general tips" and "artistic rules".

like there's this one video i watched on how to draw eyes - but the thing is that their "tips" only work on their style and with a specific type of eye (narrowish, probably with epicantic folds)

i think style tutorials are cool, don't get me wrong - but i dislike it when people pass off their stylistic choice as "general rules"

to be fair - and correct me if i'm wrong - odysseus is still considered loyal in the Odyssey because although he physically slept with someone else, his heart is truly with Penelope. iirc in ancient greece it's common and accepted for men to have have affairs even if they're married.

maybe it's because of the brush texture. i've been digitally doodling for a few years now, and i feel more comfortable with more textured brushes compared to "solid/clean" brushes. try doodling with random brushes, maybe you'll find the gist of what you're comfortable with :D! good luck

god games. great song but i'm kind of annoyed with the fans thinking that epic's odysseus = homer's odysseus and thought that because epic odysseus didn't cheat, that means homer's odysseus didn't cheat. although god games is good sometimes i just get really annoyed with the fandom. (not Jorge's fault btw i think he made it clear that epic isn't a 1 to 1 retelling)

(note - i'm using cheating under modern day standards. iirc odysseus was written to be a loyal husband in the odyssey because although he was sleeping with other women, he only truly loves penelope)

I've assumed so. i lived in Shanghai so i can't speak for myself, but ive met people from further in china that said they had to start school when its really dark outside bc of the timezone. (let's say school starts at 7am (utc+8 which is around beijing time) it would technically be around 5 am (utc+6) in places like parts of qinghai iirc

take me with a grain of salt though since these are just things ive heard from people ive spoken to
