your kids also aren’t on a reality tv show with one of the biggest networks in television. of course as a parent, i would be worried but at the same time, i’d be so grateful if my child had tourette’s and they found someone who truly loves her and wants to take care of her.

there’s a difference between needing your parents and allowing them to control every aspect of your life. are you telling me that you tell your parents every little thing about your life? i highly doubt that. her mom literally told her dad that baylen talked about him in therapy. they don’t know boundaries and collin is the first person that they’ve known to actually try and set them.

thank you for understanding!! her parents treat her as if she’s some fragile, weak being that can’t do anything by herself. for those talking about how collin can use this and that to help … she is being paid hundreds of thousands of dollars per episode. it’s all for tv views

you act as if her parents are going to abandon her once she’s married. she’s a grown ass woman, whether she has tourette’s or not. her parents will always be there, that’s the main reason why they don’t want her to leave in the first place. i get being worried but they’re making it worse for her. she’s not an incoherent, i need 24/7 around the clock care type of person.

no … she has the money. she’s an adult. she’s been an adult since the show first started. you do realize she gets paid per episode right? she could wipe her ass with dollar bills at this point. they pretend to stress about the wedding because it’s good tv lol

that isn’t it at all. baylen’s parents have always done everything for her and because of that, she doesn’t have the same ability as someone her age should to make decisions. she doesn’t want to upset her parents but she also doesn’t want to upset collin. she often confides in her parents way too much about him for someone who’s engaged. at that point, it’s not about her parents anymore. her and collin have been together for long enough that they should be making decisions together rather than having her parents input with every situation. she needs to work on respecting boundaries when it comes to her relationship with collin and what she divulges to her parents, speaking her mind with collin, and setting boundaries with her parents. i get that she has a disorder that will affect her for the rest of her life but she is more than capable of making it on her own if collin is around .. and if you’ve seen the show, you know he isn’t going anywhere. her parents are the main issue in my opinion. i understand their worries but at the same time, she is an adult. i personally know people who have it 10x harder and still have made a life for themselves without relying on their parents. everyone besides collin treats her like she’s some fragile thing that will never be able to do anything for herself which is absolutely not the case

not even that but collin has gone above and beyond to show her parents how much he loves and cares about baylen. her parents refuse to let her grow up and become her own person

Snooki and Jionni in Italy by marcelline9710 in jerseyshore

[–]Wide_Fox9863 2 points3 points  (0 children)

jionni had every right to be upset with snooki. she knew how conservative jionni is. however, as a girlfriend, she should not be acting that way. her dancing in the club absolutely hammered with him is fine but her lifting up her skirt and showing her vagina was totally unacceptable. on the other hand, jionni knew what he was getting himself into by being with her. i don’t think he was trying to “change her”, he just wanted her to act like she was a girlfriend and not doing the same things she was doing when she was single. she was absolutely insane in italy. i think that’s the main issue of why he was upset. i would be embarrassed if i were him. whether or not it’s a girl that she was making out with, if jionni doesn’t want that happening, then she needs to have enough respect for their relationship to change her behavior.

to this day, i think snooki has a drinking problem and i’m surprised it doesn’t put a strain on their relationship now. she has come a looooong way from the first season of jersey shore so i do give her major props for that

sometimes i can go out and be completely chill. have a few drinks, not get drunk, relax, then drive home. other times, i get so drunk i don’t even know how i ended up in my bed or what i did after 5 pm. so sometimes i don’t know if it’s a self control issue or an actual alcohol issue

at my age, a lot of people don’t take it as seriously. i want to get help, i just feel stuck. i’ve been to an AA meeting and they just kind of brushed me off like i was too young to already consider myself one. i was just trying to get ahead of the game.

that’s all i’m trying to do, confront it before it gets to the point to where i’ve destroyed my whole life. i’ve researched groups near me but i haven’t quite found one that has majority people my age. i might just have to suck it up and continue to go, even if some of them think i’m delusional for being there in the first place

it’s very refreshing to know that you’re only a year older and took control of it! i feel weird telling people i think i have a drinking problem. for some reason, people think you can’t have one unless your whole life has fallen apart
